*QUARANTINE LIVE SESSIONS* - 10 Hour Live Stream raising money for the Music Venue Trust

*THE QUARANTINE SESSIONS*

On The House x Tazma Studios raising funds for the Music Venue Trust IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM THE MUSIC VENUE TRUST

WHERE: Right here, on the On The House Facebook page.

WHEN: 3pm - 12pm, Sunday 22nd March.

HOW CAN WE HELP?: If you are available on the 22nd March and can make it to Exeter, UK between 3pm - 12am and wish to perform on the live stream, please email us at onthehousemusic.submissions@gmail.com with the subject title 'Quarantine Sessions' - first come first served!

WHY: The current coronavirus outbreak has caused a multitude of issues for local and independent businesses. On the frontline are our beloved music venues, bar, pubs and clubs. Boris Johnson has now stated that people are urged to avoid going to any social spaces to avoid further spread of the virus which is all well and good, but without making the venues officially close down to fight the pandemic, he is leaving them to fend for themselves when their clientele inevitably stay at home. Unable to claim on insurances and unable to receive government assistance if their business collapses (they would have been able to claim on their insurances if they were forced to close by government due to the pandemic), these venues have been absolutely betrayed by the people who are supposed to be protecting them and our UK music culture. Right now, we are at a crucial point in our history, we need to make the right choices to ensure we have a music scene to come back to after this.

The Music Venue Trust is an organisation that supports grassroots venues who are struggling under the current economical climate, so we will be donating 90% of the funds raised to the MVT to support the most vulnerable grass-root music venues in the UK during this time (the other 10% will be split between On The House & Tazma Studios to cover rental and cancellation costs from the previous and upcoming weeks). On The House will be donating their entire 5% cut to the Exeter Cavern. The Cavern are one of the main reasons we even exist today - they hosted our first ever events, our first shows in snotty teenage bands and are home to so many special memories that we couldn't even count. We shouldn't need to say more than that!

A donation link will be available at the start of the stream and will be live for 48 hours after the stream finishes. We will then donate the money as quick as we can to support these venues within the first week of these very uncertain times.

*******We are also looking for a live-streaming team to donate their time to us for this amazing cause. We have our own equipment if we need it, but we would really appreciate some professional help! - please get in touch by messaging our Facebook page if you can help!*********

Sending all of our love to everyone out there affected by this crazy world we live in right now. Look after yourselves, your loved ones and those most vulnerable around you. We will be taking extra precautions to ensure that everyone attending the quarantine live sessions are healthy and safe, the facility has a bathroom & a kitchen with running hot water and we will keep the anti- bacterial soap well-stocked. We will also be regularly cleaning surfaces and shared equipment, alongside having a limit on how many artists are allowed in certain spaces at a time. Panic and fear only incites more panic and fear, so approach your daily tasks rationally and respectfully, so others can do the same. We will see you on Sunday, right here, at 3pm. Most importantly, please share this event with as many folk as possible!
