Today we offer you the driving new Obits single, “Spun Out,” presented in an entirely free MP3 format, for your downloading delight. The track is from the band’s forthcoming third album, Bed & Bugs, which Brooklyn Vegan calls their “most varied album to date, but still a rager -- and maybe the best thing they've done yet.”

Sub Pop will release Bed & Bugs September 9th on CD/LP/DL. The 13-track album, featuring “Taste the Diff” and the aforementioned “Spun Out,” along with highlights “It’s Sick” and “Receptor,”  was recorded and mixed in an undisclosed location in Arlington, VA by Nikhil Ranade with additional mixing by Eli Janney and Geoff Sanoff.

Pre-orders of Obits’ Bed & Bugs are now available at Sub Pop.com. While supplies last, orders of the CD and LP will receive a free, limited-edition 7” single featuring live versions of “Refund” (from the late 2012 7" single on La Castanya) and “Talking to the Dog” (from I Blame You) on the A-side, backed with “New August” (from Moody, Standard and Poor) on the B-side. The tracks were recorded while on tour in August 2012 at Red 7 in Austin, Texas. Three brand-new and also handsome Obits t-shirts are available now as well.

Bed & Bugs will also be available as a limited Loser Edition colored vinyl LP from SubPop.com, select independent record retailers (call your local record store for availability) and at Obits' shows.
