The Crazy World of Arthur Brown Reveals New Song Ahead of New Album

Arthur Brown has unveiled his new track ‘The Unknown’ exclusively on the pledge music website taken from his new album ‘Zim Zam Zim’ which is only available to those who pledge via pledge music.

The pledge campaign has been running for 50 days and has already gathered over 50% of the target funds required for the realisation of the new album ‘Zim Zam Zim’, through offering some fantastic exclusive experiences to pledgers such as having your name in a song, introducing the band on stage or spending the day with Arthur Brown.  The support for The God of Hellfire has been overwhelming in his bid to record one last album, after a career spanning over 45 years, and he is announcing shows nearly every week for 2013 and 2014 across the UK and Europe.

The new track is Arthur’s take on modern life, referencing everything from IPods to eco-friendly apartment blocks.  The track addresses the changes he has seen throughout his career but expresses that he takes it all in stride – ‘I know the Unknown, and the Unknown knows me’.

Arthur is best thought of for his 1968 number one single ‘Fire’ that still gets regular airplay all over the world and has been covered by the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Die Krupps, The Prodigy and The Who.  His band Kingdom Come headlined Glastonbury Festival in 1971, and his performances continue to excite and inspire, with a recent show at Hard Rock Hell acclaimed as a festival highlight, as well as being awarded ‘Showman of the Year’ by Classic Rock magazine.  Artists such as Peter Gabriel, Alice Cooper and Bruce Dickenson cite Arthur Brown as a major influence.
