Nightlife’s personal liberation will continue this October as they unleash ‘For The Record’, the second EP from a band flourishing in the embers of past endeavours.
Consisting of members who in other incarnations have signed major label recording contracts and embarked on extensive tours throughout Europe as well as the USA as part of the Vans Warped Tour, it’s these experiences that have evolved Nightlife, contextually and as individuals into the refined rock band they now are.
A mere month after formation they recorded their explosive debut EP, ‘The Road To Hope and Glory’ with Pete Miles (We Are The Ocean/ The King Blues) but elected for in-demand producer, Neil Kennedy (Don Broco, Burn The Fleet) to take-up the production duties this time. Instinctively grasping the balance of intricate riffs and complex melodies, they’ve achieved clarity among the elements the band craft so precisely.
‘For The Record’ tackles; taking on-board the hardships the world throws at you and refusing to be beaten. It stands up for life’s dreamers and go-getters, whilst showing discontent for those who let opportunities pass them by too easily.
Having utilised the vibrant music scene in their London base over the course of their 18-month existence, they now look to build on dates with Lower Than Atlantis, Tellison and Sonic Boom Six with a stint of headline shows to support the release of ‘For The Record’.
If you like soaring vocals, exceptional musicianship and a not-giving-up work ethic, then Nightlife are certainly worth 20-minutes of your time.
