THE FRATELLIS NEW ALBUM ‘WE NEED MEDICINE’ RELEASED ON 7TH OCTOBER

TEN DATE NOVEMBER UK TOUR ON SALE NOW

The Fratellis are back with a new album ‘We Need Medicine’ on 7th October released through BMG Records.

Glasgow based The Fratellis released their first album ‘Costello Music’ in 2006 which charted at #2 in the UK Album Chart with over 1million sales and received much critical acclaim, with the band winning the ‘Best British Breakthrough Act’ award at the 2007 BRIT Awards. They followed this with the release of their second album ‘Here We Stand’ in 2008 which won them ‘Best British Band’ at the 33rd Silver Clef Awards that year.

The Fratellis third album ‘We Need Medicine’, recorded in Glasgow’s West End and produced by Jon Fratelli and Stuart McCredie, who also mixed the record, is an 11-track record of bluesy rock anthems.

The new single ‘Seven Nights Seven Days’ exemplifies The Fratellis’ innate ability to write rousing anthems; fast paced, with country guitar hooks and distinctive vocals – topped off with a memorable, to-the-point catchy chorus. The video for ‘Seven Nights Seven Days’ was shot on the streets of North London and directed by Alex Williams, it stars renowned British actor and director, Nick Nevern.  Nevern has starred in multiple films and TV shows, most recently he wrote, directed and starred in “The Hooligan Factory” earlier this year.

The digital EP, released on September 16th, will feature 3 new tracks from the album including the studio version of  ‘Seven Nights Seven Days’ & two live album tracks ‘She’s Not Gone But She’s Leaving’ and ‘Whisky Saga’, recorded at Glasgow Barrowlands. The EP will also feature the official video for ‘Seven Nights Seven Days’ - an alternative Black & White version is available exclusively on the band’s websites.

After reforming for a sold out UK tour earlier this year and performing to a huge crowd at this year’s T in the Park and V Festivals, The Fratellis have announced European, US & UK tours. The UK tour commences at Bournemouth 02 Academy on 17th November and culminates in a homecoming show at Glasgow 02 Academy on 29th November.
