With gigs and festivals starting to hot up, we wanted to tell you about a couple of very special gigs that are happening at The Wharf in Tavistock and The Brewhouse at Taunton next week.
Wigan based 8 piece folk band Merry Hell are embarking on an 8 date tour of England with alt-folk band Ranagri starting tonight in Biddulph Town Hall and then taking in The Stables - Milton Keynes (3rd), The Wharf - Tavistock (4th), The Brewhouse - Taunton (5th), Hare & Hounds - Birmingham (6th), Darwen Library Theatre (8th), Adelphi Theatre - Hull (9th), St Mary’s Creative Space - Chester (10th) and Lowdham Village Hall (16th).
They will deliver a great night of lively and thought provoking songs and in the words of Merry Hell - "Though our hearts and souls are tuned to the songs which came before us, we bring you new words and music forged from our own experiences, from the lows and the loves of our lives. Our art is energy and our hope is unity. Our pleasure is to please: let the audience be the acid test and let the music speak for itself…”
