A FEW WORDS FROM ELEPHANT STONE ABOUT THEIR NEW ALBUM AND EUROPEAN TOUR....
It's been a while since our last update... the cold freeze over Montreal is finally starting to recede and we're about ready to come out for some air. A lot of cool (hot!) things to announce....
New Album "The Three Poisons"
We spent the long cold winter demo-ing new songs. I think I wrote about 24 tunes and then the band cut them down to a solid 11-song set. We're calling the album "The Three Poison" (Google it for it's "deeper" meaning). Anyhow, the recording is all done (we're getting it mastered as I write this) and we're hoping for an early fall release. I think I've said this for every album ES has put out... but I really think this is the greatest music I (and the band) have ever made. But don't take my word for it... check out what my bro, Anurag, has to say:
"Halfway through my second listen and this is an epic, catchy and bloody confident album! Female backup vocals! Well-used. First four songs are the best you've ever done in terms of arrangements, space, hooks and feel. Really amazing, big songs that have crazy stickiness. They really grab your attention and make you FEEL something, but makes you want to hear them again because as simple as they get in your soul, there are a lot of layers to discover. I love that I can hear your influences in this, but other than being your brother, no one would notice and you really meld them all so seamlessly into these perfect songs. The songs are just so strong and well put together and varied that this really feels like a album that no one has heard before. And it's still rock n roll. Oh and the lyrics: crazy good and mature. The playing is phenomenal. Love how the drums really come out and you got the sitar interweaved better than ever. You guys are making your own thing. Beautiful."
