Sam Thomas has been lurking around the scene through various different music projects (i.e. punk bands, indie bands, acoustic driven solo work etc). Though he has dabbled in a little bit of everything, he has finally found the artistic, musical medium that best suits his talents: his own brand of hip/hop. He has a new single in that vein that dropped on September 15th. 'No More' is masterfully crafted and structured in a way that ensures the message of the song is poignantly communicated.
The track is about Sam’s struggles and the things that have held him back in various ways throughout the years. The song is structured in a clever way which really adds to the meaning of the song. Rather than a ‘verse, chorus, verse’ structure, it is really one long verse that builds up instrumentally and lyrically to a single chorus that finds Sam finally liberated from his setbacks. The song packs a punch and is an incredibly satisfying listen.
Sam Thomas has finally found his voice and I am here for it. With so much talent and the knowledge of who he is and where he is headed, Sam has a bright future ahead of himself.
