ALAN DREEZER’s new album: ‘H E A L E D’ is out now - Stream it here

My current goto electro-pop artist is without a doubt Alan Dreezer. He first caught my attention with the release of his debut album titled ‘London E12’ back in 2018. This is an incredible electro-pop album and was the best introduction I could have had to him as an artist. Now, he has released his new album 'H E A L E D' and has been dropping a string of singles leading up to its release yesterday.

One of those singles, titled ‘The Twelfth of Never,’ feels like an 80’s throwback, but with a modern, clubby twist. It has larger-than-life synths and an almost spiritual chorus. ‘Any Way I Can’ is another great mention. It has a catchy, hand-clapping beat and wonderfully buoyant instrumentals. The verses are understated which gives the chorus an added push that makes it positively infectious. It has a snazzy melody and infectious beat. The instrumentation almost has a tropical sound, but the prevailing feeling is that of a club. Alan’s vocals are brilliant and float majestically.

‘Sun don’t always shine, shining anyway.’

‘People be so cruel. I’m kind to them anyway.’

The song has a message of not letting outside circumstances get in the way of who you are or your purpose.

No one is doing it like Alan Dreezer and these songs are a great example of that. He is unique and has a sound that is all his own. 'But It Does' has a deliciously funky melody and has hints of George Michael - it is sure to get you up and moving. 'What You Didn't Say' is a little more melancholic, and my personal favourite song. Poignant and emotive, with unusual strings and ethereal backing vocals, this track is playing on our playlist on repeat - it has you hooked from start to finish, especially when it kicks into an insatiable R&B groove a third of the way in. 'Equal' is a dancier track, with tropical piano and a pulsing beat, while 'The Chase' is another banger with perhaps the catchiest chorus of the whole album, fusing electronica and dance into Dreezer's own unique shade of pop music. People from all walks of life, of all ages, are sure to find a song or two that resonates with them from this varied and magnetic collection of songs.
