Ahead of RATTLERFEST which takes place from 19-20 April at HEALEYS CYDER FARM in Penhallow (nr Truro), we wanted to chat to bands and artists performing at the festival so YOU can plan your weekend. Next up is an immensely talented bunch of musicians who call themselves THE ANDY QUICK BAND….

Please describe your act/band and tell us a fascinating fact that not many people would know... 

We are a lucky bunch of monkeys who get to play a fat load of funky indie blues rock reggae tunes with a lot of swagger and a lot of love for what we do. As for a fascinating fact, all of our music is actually written and arranged by a guy called Geoff from Swindon.

When did your relationship with Rattlerfest start?

I think the first time i went there was to play it a couple of years ago. I was first on stage on Sunday morning and Jesus Christ did the people look like they'd had a good night out!

Have you played Rattlerfest before? If so, when and if not, what are you looking forward to the most? 

Yes, played there a couple of years ago. This year, I'm looking forward to playing a sizzling set early Saturday evening then totally losing myself in the madness and merriment of a proper cornish party!

What was your reaction when you knew you would be playing there this year? 

My clothes fell off and I experienced a wave of full body multiple orgasms which seemed to last for around 8 or so minutes. When i called guitarist Matt to tell him the news, the exact same thing happened to him….

From the bands announced so far, who are you looking forward to seeing and who would you hope may yet make it onto the bill? 

I played the Zutons first album to death so I'm buzzing for that. Is it too late to get Land Of The Giants involved??

There is a Rattler Shop onsite, will you be paying a visit for some takeaway produce? 

Depends what they sell.I don't think I'll be drinking for a few weeks after Saturday. If they have any snake socks I will buy a pair. I love socks!

Are you planning on a pasty, ice cream, cream tea whilst in Cornwall? 

I've already had 2 pasties today can we change the subject?

Finally, why should a festival punter make an effort to see you guys at Rattlerfest this year? 

In all seriousness, we will be playing a bunch of songs that have been hand crafted over several years by a load of very passionate and talented musicians. The sound and vibe will no doubt be bang on as it always is at Healeys festivals. Anybody coming to see us will hopefully loosen up and have a dance, and hear something in the lyrics or the music that they've never heard before and it might make them feel something cool. Maybe feel more alive and put a smile on their faces!
