On January 16th 2015, Sweden’s Atlas Losing Grip unleash what worldwide fans have been craving for since the 2011 masterpiece “State Of Unrest” - The relentlessly majestic punk rock serving that is “Currents.” Continuously pushing their capacity forward, these 14 tracks forcefully break down the dividing line between both punk rock and heavy metal, through Atlas Losing Grip’s mastering of both. Enriched with the desire to never hold back, Atlas Losing Grip stand shoulder to shoulder with giants. Thus, on “Currents,” the catchy punk rock of Bad Religion and Propagandhi finds itself flanked by the celebratory power of Iron Maiden and Metallica.
The honest outpourings that have become a trademark of singer Rodrigo Alfaro reach a self-therapeutic level on “Currents.” A record born from struggle, it bears the mark of a life lived with the soul scars to prove it.
Atlas Losing Grip have produced a record full of energy, attitude, and impeccable song writing, whilst holding on to the punk rock ethics that the band have held dear, since their formation. Rarely will you find a record that has be crafted so perfectly - “Currents” stands true.
The record is set for worldwide release on CD/LP on January 16th 2015. It is 66 minutes and 6 seconds long and includes all the band‘s unique trademarks, such as the powerful twin-guitar riffing of Gustav Brunn and Max Huddén, the incredibly tight rhythm section, and singer Rodrigo Alfaro‘s exceptional tenor-voice.
This is the second full-length with legendary Satanic Surfers member Rodrigo Alfaro on vocals.
Atlas Losing Grip played over 200 shows for their last record “State Of Unrest”, including support slots for Millencolin and Bad Religion and numerous headline tours
