Barons Of Hiddenhausen is an experimental "one man duo" founded in 2012. He grew up near the "Waterwoods", an isolated place in the upper austrian outskirts. He was handed a guitar pick by BB King when he was 11 years old for being the youngest person at the show. A year later he begged his father to buy him an electric guitar. After being in several bands he decided to move to vienna and locked himself up in a small flat for two years to start writing his first debut album. He recorded and mixed it entirely alone on just one macbook and decided to self release it by late 2012. It was around the very same time when an opportunity came along to collaborate on Digital Noise Academy in Los Angeles with one of his childhood hero's, Ken Andrews (Failure, M83, A.P.C.).

About the Album: 

Austria. A country where you can take your car and drive thru it in 7 hours. But what did Moritz Kofler do?

He locked himself up in a small bedroom flat and switched of his cell phone and started recording in complete isolation. The EP tells the aggressive story of teen angst and not fitting into conventional systems while growing up.

It contains deep passages to exit the loop of the fact that one always wants what one does not currently hold.

Pushed towards the edge until one explodes to release expression from the unified field.
