Cornish alt-rock trio AUCTION FOR THE PROMISE CLUB release video for "MOONLIGHT", watch it here....
Cornish coast trio Auction For The Promise Club have announced the video for their dramatic new single ‘Moonlight’, out now. Featuring the three members performing in a greyscale, cinematic style shoot, the video perfectly captures the excitement and mystique of the track.
It premiered with Louder Than War who praised the track, describing it as "a pounding, full on anthem with a trippy, psychedelic edge that’s sure to be a set highlight for this youthful band at this year’s gigs and festivals. The single is further evidence that Auction For The Promise Club are forging their own, unique brand of modern alternative rock, skilfully conflating radio-friendly melodies with a steely intent."
The enigmatically-named band fuse their powerful indie-rock with hints of grunge and colourful pop sensibilities. This shines through in the new single as they balance their explosive energy with melodic intervals creating distinct and rugged dynamics throughout.
‘Moonlight’ is the first taste of new music from the trio and is taken from their upcoming debut album Silence, out June 9th via Easy Action Records. The band teamed up with producer Paul Reeve (Muse, Beta Band, Supergrass) for the record, at the remote Airfield Studios in Cornwall, allowing them to capture the unique charm and atmospheric sense of location within their music.
Silence speaks through 12 diverse tracks and features the previously released ‘This May Hurt’, which was dubbed by BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson as “their best yet” and ‘Cut So Close’, both of which were released as a special limited edition 7” AA red vinyl on Record Store Day last year.
With an exciting year ahead, Auction For The Promise Club are ready to set stages alight with their brand new music in 2017.
Formed of front-women Zoe White Chambers, her brother Toby White Chambers (drums) and friend Perran Tremewan (guitars/keys), Auction For The Promise Club first stormed onto the scene with their critically acclaimed debut EP One. The EP was recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios and Cube Recordings and saw them championed by the likes of Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing, as well as welding support coming from Rolling Stone, Classic Rock, MTV Hive, XFM and NME Radio.
With an abundance of creative and artistry skills among them, the trio have taken a DIY approach to their craft, producing eye-catching videos and artwork curated and designed by themselves.
Their fiery and polished live performance also hasn’t gone unnoticed and has led to them playing multiple festivals across the country including Bestival, Boardmasters, The Great Escape, Y Not Festival, Looe Festival and Radio 1's Big Weekend.
