Cornwall based singer songwriter DAISY CLARK releases new single 'BATTLE SCARS' - Listen here....

This week, Daisy Clark releases her latest single ‘Battle Scars’, a breath-takingly beautiful new track from the Cornwall-based singer-songwriter and YouTube sensation. ‘Battle Scars’ is out on Tuesday 2 June and available on all streaming services. Listen to ‘Battle Scars’ here

Written and performed by Daisy herself and produced by Ben Cartwright, ‘Battle Scars’ is a reassuring message to loved ones that you are always there for them, even when faced with distance and change – a theme which feels even more poignant in these uncertain times. With aching, heart-wrenching lyrics and Daisy’s effortless, raw vocals, the track dazzles as it delivers an overarching message of hope, “everything is happening, but you won’t be left behind”

Daisy is an online phenomenon, having first caught the attention of fans when she released her mesmerising cover of ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’ on YouTube in 2016, rapidly garnering millions of views. One of her most recent covers of Billie Eilish’s ‘Bellyache’ caught the attention of Billie herself, who said, “she has the kind of voice you just want to listen to. Sing me to sleep, Daisy.”

She has performed festival slots at Boardmasters, Tunes In The Dunes, Hampton Court Palace Festival and Leopalooza, as well as performances at the Royal Albert Hall and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. Earlier this year, her single ‘I Don’t Look Like Her’ received support from BBC Introducing on International Women’s Day, and her covers of ‘Complicated’ and ‘Falling For You’ were played on Love Island Australia.

Daisy said, “Battle Scars is about reassuring loved ones you’ll be there for them no matter what. I wrote it for someone that I wanted to feel safe and loved. It was the first song of mine that I wrote on the piano and is very special to me. I hope it can bring comfort, especially with the current situation in the world.”

Daisy, who is currently isolating at home in Cornwall and spending her time writing more new material, has been tipped by BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2 and is billed at one to watch in 2020 and beyond.

‘Battle Scars’ is out on Tuesday 2 June on all streaming services.
