DAMN VANDALS release new single: ‘Twist Up And Tangle’ out 17th March 2014 on Sexy Beast….

The new single from London’s finest Damn Vandals - ‘Twist Up And Tangle’ - will be released on March 17th 2014 in advance of their second and hugely anticipated new album: ‘Rocket Out Of London’ which will be released April 7th.

‘Twist Up And Tangle’ sees Jack Kansas’s feverous vocals duel with Frank Pick’s explosive guitar, whilst Adam Kilemore Gardens on bass and Chris Christianson on drums deliver the killer rhythm.

The B-side, ‘I Bring You Love’, morphs from a swampy blues stomp into an exhilarating slide-fuelled beat of raw power.

The new LP, ‘Rocket Out Of London’, (once again produced by Julian Simmons – Midlake, Ed Sheeran, Guillemots, Goldheart Assembly), will be the follow-up to the band’s critically acclaimed debut release ‘Done For Desire’, which featured as Shaun Keaveny's BBC 6Music Record of the Week and one of Bloomberg’s and Glasswerk’s ‘Best CDs of 2012’.

The band’s exhilarating live shows have gained them a reputation as “one of the most exciting bands to surface from the UK this year” (This is Fake DIY) – with BBC 6Music’s Chris Hawkins adding: “Damn Vandals, a great live band, thoroughly recommend seeing them … absolutely superb, so much energy on stage, a proper rock ‘n’ roll band.”

“Absolutely Marvellous … Utterly fabulous … one of the best rock tunes we've had for a long time.… Damn Vandals, they are amazing!” Shaun Keaveny, BBC 6Music

“Each song is pure gold … Damn Vandals are going to be huge - get in on the ground floor with this stunning debut.” The Press Association 10/10

“Tingles my taste-buds.” Artrocker

“This is a monster meatball of British, psycho-delic, stoner rock. Combining high-protein melodic content with a wodge of heavy-duty guitar and rhythm section carbs, it lands hot and sticky on the deck. Great, Echo & the Bunnymen-ish vocal….This is vandalism with class.”  David Sinclair - The Times pop and rock critic

“If Nick Cave fronted a heavier Gang Of Four … Damn Vandals are one of the most exciting bands to surface from the UK this year, and 'Done For Desire' one of the most exciting debuts.” This is Fake DIY

“Injecting a fresh boost into the British music scene” Record Collector

“Such a distinctive sound … the Vandals have the goods.” Classic Rock Magazine

“Damn Vandals are the shot in the arm that the indie rock scene has been begging for … pure rock … brilliantly brimming with raw passion … Forget the hype, the Damn Vandals have surpassed it.” Room Thirteen 12/13

“Dark, intense and positively reeking of quality.” Music News

“Every song is a single-in-waiting … all killer/no filler … a perfect album. No hyperbole. No bulls**t. Get ‘Done For Desire’ and witness the birth of the sound of the new generation.” Mass Movement

“The best new band in Britain right now with probably the best album of the year so far, Done For Desire, under their belts … faultless.” Shout 4 Music
