Drunken folk singer BEANS ON TOAST to embark on 11 date UK tour to promote his latest album 'The Inevitable Train Wreck'....

With politicians left, right and centre making half-hearted pledges on climate change policy of late, BEANS ON TOAST, instead cuts right to the chase with his latest single: ‘On & On’.

Taken from his recently released rock’n’roll protest album ‘The Inevitable Train Wreck’, the track is both a comment on the imminent environmental catastrophe we face, but also a spurring anthem of optimism and hope dedicated to the people driving for real change now.

The new single is accompanied by a heart-warming video filmed at the London Fridays For Future Climate strike that took place in London on 20th September, which played a central influence on Beans in the writing of this song. Capturing highlights of the climate change protests - from the school children campaigning for the preservation of their future, to the everyday people raising awareness with colourful creativity - the video also features Beans and, rather poignantly, the next generation of his own family at the event.

Hopeful, articulate and well-reasoned, ‘On & On’ is a fitting reflection of the scenes that day and its greater message. There’s even time for a tongue-in-cheek dig at Boris and Trump (if they’re listening). With its hymnal quality and irresistible chorus, ‘On & On’ is an eloquent invitation for more voices to join in its song and cause; and who knows, perhaps even those two could one day…

Folk singer Beans on Toast has been singing honest and open songs about the political landscape for a decade now, earning himself a cult status, sold-out shows and ram-packed festival tents all around the globe. This year, the songwriter returns with what will be his 11th studio album: ‘The Inevitable Train Wreck’.

Something different for the cult songwriter - the new record is an upbeat, old-school rock ’n’ roll record about the worryingly bleak future of the human race, recorded solely on vintage, analogue equipment. Taking inspiration from musical icons such as Chuck Berry and Otis Redding, as well as modern thinkers like Noah Yuval Harari and Greta Thunberg, the album is a collaborative project between Beans and Lewis & Kitty Durham from the much-loved family band, Kitty, Daisy and Lewis.

‘The Inevitable Train Wreck’ was released on 1st December on Beans’ own imprint BOT Music and will feature the first two singles ‘World Gone Crazy’ and ‘England, I Love You’.
