During these trying times, why not have a go at remixing a track from The Velvet Hands, it's great fun and doesn't cost a dime....
Since BoJo, the bumbling mop haired jester advised us to ‘stay the fuck indoors’, I’ve been going slightly mad. I was starting to wonder what my dogs would taste like if I was forced to eat them, would I need condiments or would the natural barbecued taste of my two furry friends be enough to satisfy my appetite? - Yes folks, you might say that I’m looking for things to do to pass the time and I think I may have stumbled on the perfect solution.
I heard that a band called The Velvet Hands have launched a challenge where you can remix their forthcoming track ‘Fallout’. It’s available to stream NOW and is officially released on April 17th which would have been the end of their national tour and festival dates in Leeds and London, but since that ain’t happening anymore, they decided to release the track anyway (thank goodness, cos it’s a belter!)
If you've never remixed anything before, now is your chance, learn a new skill, impress all your mates!
All you need to do is download the ‘stems’ of the track, do your thing and then upload the remix to your Facebook page tagging in the band, they'll have a listen and post their favourites on their own page.
There’s already been an acid house version, a stone cold indie banger and someone has considered adding bassoon and harp to their efforts, why not go right out there and introduce some of your own sounds too, the sky is quite literally the limit!
Any issues, get in touch with the band via Facebook.
Good luck!
