Los Angeles’ neo soul/indie group Fitz And The Tantrums are gearing up to release their Elektra/Atlantic Records debut album in the UK. ‘More Than Just A Dream’ is set for release on the 21 April with the first single ‘The Walker’ released the same week. The release will follow a one-off UK show at Dingwalls, London on 6 March (show was upgraded from The Lexington).

"The Walker," which will be released alongside the album on 21 April, is a song that's already made a big impression stateside with Ellen DeGeneres, who is once again hosting The Oscars®, handpicking the song for the trailer that launched The Oscars' "Here We Go" promotional campaign. ("Here we go" is a phrase that figures prominently in the song's chorus.) The clip, which was directed by Paul Feig ("Bridesmaids," "The Heat") and choreographed by Stephen "tWitch" Boss, features DeGeneres and 200 tuxedo-clad men and women dancing to "The Walker" on the Warner Bros. backlot. It can be viewed here.  Their forthcoming album More Than Just a Dream will see its UK release on 21 April (produced by Tony Hoffer - Beck, M83, Depeche Mode, Phoenix). The album has already received huge praise across the board in America; with its first single there ‘Out Of My League’ staying on the Billboard charts for over 45 weeks, hitting #1 at Alternative Radio and racking up more than three million views on the official video.  Vogue Magazine called them "The Hardest Working Band" and Rolling Stone called them "Band to Watch" in their Hot Issue.   Known for their energetic live shows, the band has played festivals all over the world including V Fest, Pukklepop, Splendor in The Grass, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits etc and will continue to excite crowds this coming summer at Bonnaroo, Guvenor's Ball and many more to be announced.

Fitz and The Tantrums have been living their own Hollywood dream from the beginning. The band - comprised of Fitz (vocals), Noelle Scaggs (vocals/tambourine), James King (saxophone), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards), John Wicks (drums) and Joseph Karnes (bass) - played their first show in December 2008 at Hotel Café in their hometown of Hollywood, CA. Their self-released 2009 EP Songs for a Breakup, Vol. 1 attracted the attention of many, including a New York City tattoo artist who played the EP for client Adam Levine. A week and a half after the tattoo session, Fitz and The Tantrums were opening for Maroon 5. The band's full-length debut, Pickin' Up the Pieces, spent 73 weeks on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, peaking at No. 1. Views for the video for the hit single "MoneyGrabber" climbed into the millions and the band was named a "You Oughta Know" artist by VH1.
