FOALS launch a new video series 'FBC - TRANSMISSIONS' - The first transmission is live now, watch it here....

Foals’ ambitious two-part ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost’ album represented a new creative peak for the band. Over the course of the project, Foals landed their first UK #1 album and earned three prestigious awards: Best Group at the BRIT AwardsBest Album at the Q Awards and Best Live Act at the NME Awards. It was also nominated for the Mercury Prize.

Now Foals reflect on an unforgettable era in their career by launching ‘FBC Transmissions’. Curated by Toby L (director of the recent ‘Rip Up The Road’ documentary and co-founder of Transgressive Records) and the band’s regular collaborator Kit Monteith, it extends the creativity that has been a hallmark of the album campaign into an essential twelve-part short film series.

‘FBC Transmissions’ is presented in a pirate radio-style aesthetic, evoking an ageless and transitory broadcast platform. Meanwhile the videos offer viewers a wealth of new and unseen material. Blending freshly captured footage, opportunities for fans to interact with the band and bonus material from ‘Rip Up The Road’, the weekly episodes offer an insight into Foals’ creative process, touring experiences and personalities.

The series has today been launched with the first Transmission. It follows Foals to Studio La Marquise in Paris, where they’re seen putting the finishing touches to the single ‘Exits’ alongside co-producer and synth connoisseur Vincent Taurelle

Future highlights include Jimmy Smith introducing his Hidden Treasures, a collection of weird and wonderful music that he made which shaped the direction of the final album; the band reflecting on their early days ahead of a euphoric, homecoming headline set at Truck Festival; and an AQA where the band will answer questions submitted by fans.

Speaking on the series, Toby L and Kit Monteith comment:

“The cameras have been rolling more or less non-stop for the past 18 months, from the creation of the band’s recent albums, all the way through to the ‘ENSWBL’ world tour. We wanted to re-inhabit those moments in a time where it feels that introspection is more important than ever, offering new glimpses into what has been such a crucial era for the band and society at large. Every week’s missive will provide a concise, intimate insight into the band’s world, alternating week on week. We hope each one has the potential to, in some small way, brighten your day.”

Foals’ UK headline tour that was due to commence at the end of April has been rescheduled for 2021. All original tickets remain valid for the new dates. Please see the official website for the latest updates on forthcoming live shows.
