How Can You Use an E-bike For Getting Around a Music Festival?

Music festivals are tons of fun, but they can also be difficult to manoeuvre during the events. The festivals are crowded with people packed in front and back to back. Another unfortunate issue is that the heat makes everyone sweaty and sticky. Utilising an e-bike or skateboard during festivals where they are allowed, such as Boardmasters or Glastonbury, could potentially help with some of these festival cons.

Be prepared for the unexpected

The cool thing about the music festival, Boardmasters, is that the event doesn’t just centre around the music. Boardmasters also sheds the spotlight on extreme sports like surfing and skateboarding. Therefore, having an E-bike or skateboard handy would be par for the course.

Remember that you will use your E-bike or skateboard often during this type of event. If something were to malfunction, you would need to keep an extra skateboard bearing or two on your person or anything you might need for your e-bike. If you hit something, you'll be ready for the worst.

A folding E-bike would be ideal for music festivals

A folding E-bike will be the most convenient if you consider using an E-bike at a music festival. A folding E-bike is an electric bike that is easily foldable, therefore, making them more portable. Portability is an excellent quality to take into account for a music festival since everyone has limited space. Another plus to their portability is that since you can keep them close to you at all times, folding e-bikes aren't as easy for someone to steal.

An offroad E-bike would also make a good choice.

Most music festivals take place outside, and the terrain can be rough depending on the location. If you find yourself at an event with a more turbulent landscape, an offroad E-bike will make getting around much more manageable. Offroad E-bikes are ideal for that kind of ground and those taking more risks when bike riding. However, offroad E-bikes are not for riders just getting into e-bikes. They are geared toward more experienced E-bike riders that enjoy a challenge.

E-bikes are great for moments when you’re tired out

E-bikes do work similarly to regular bikes, but with a twist. The electric component of the E-bike is only supposed to augment human power, not completely replace it. For example, an E-bike can make things like hills much easier to manoeuvre, and you can travel much further without getting as tired.

Some E-bikes also have the electric-only feature, allowing the user to relax and let the E-bike do the work. To activate the electric-only mode, twist the throttle located on the left handlebar. You'll have to keep it turned to continue moving, or you can let go if you want to pedal on your own. This feature may not be entirely suitable for music festivals since you have to ensure not to hit anyone. Electric-only mode would be ideal if you were away from the action.

E-bikes and skateboards could be a valuable assets to get around during music festivals, as long as you use them responsively. If you plan to use an E-bike or skateboard for moving during a music festival, be sure to keep items you may need around, like a skateboard bearing or two
