Jack Garratt is a name that has been echoing around the industry over the past few months. A name that has somewhat come out of nowhere, and seemingly tore apart the industry. With his incredible live shows and talents as a multi instrumentalist, we were in for a treat as we caught up with his latest headline tour.

Tonight's support came in the form of Kacy Hill, an act moving her way up the industry ladder with her unique brand of left field pop. A touching tone to her voice really captured the O2’s capacity crowd and saw her entire set go down really well. By no means an act that I expected to open for Jack Garratt, but one that I think deserved the slot, I'd love to see her supporting the likes of London Grammar.

My highlight of the set was her track Foreign Fields, one that spanned a host of different elements from soft, jazz bar piano to atmospheric electronic backing. Her voice soared around the O2 and certainly caused a few chills as the crowd stood in admiration.

From one up and coming act to the next. Jack Garratt is something entirely different and his sudden rise in the industry has certainly acknowledged that. Playing a 10 song set, we knew that this set was going to be short but oh so sweet.

It is clear that as much as Jack is not a cocky performer, he does have an impressive stage presence. His capability to be able to perform entirely on his own, whilst performing multiple instruments at the same time is something to be admired. What is even more impressive, is that he manages to play these even better than on his recordings. Truly inspiring.

The set consisted of 10 of Jack’s finest tracks, 8 of which were from Phase, his latest release. The stand out being the lively ‘Surprise Yourself’ which seemingly lit up the room with its upbeat nature. This closely followed by his final track, Worry.
