21-year-old British/Zimbabwean singer-songwriter Kelvin Jones has released the lyric video for his brand new single ‘As You Wake Up’. With mesmerising drawings and innovative designs, the video is beautiful and fascinating in equal measure.

The track is yet another serving of Kelvin’s distinctive pop/blues sound, lead by soulful acoustic guitars and a huge chorus. It follows the release of Kelvin’s Stop The Moment Acoustic EP which came out on September 30th via Epic Records.

The EP features acoustic versions of his previous singles from the critically acclaimed album Stop The Moment;  ‘Closer’, ‘Call You Home’, ‘ As You Wake Up’ and brand new track ‘Rollercoaster’. The EP is available from all digital stores now.

The charismatic musician’s previous singles have been championed on BBC Radio 2. ‘Closer’ lit up the airwaves this summer as an A-List record while ‘Call You Home’ featured on the station’s B-List in the spring.

Echoing the strong support at UK radio, Kelvin Jones has been setting light to the press with The Sun recently choosing ‘Closer’ as one of their Hottest Tracks of the week, describing it as having “pared-down verses with a euphoric sing-along chorus”. 

Further support for the album Stop The Moment has come from Q Magazine, Attitude and many others with shoots and features running in the likes of Notion, Blues & Soul and Disorder. 

Kelvin starts his headline tour of mainland Europe – where he is fast becoming a major star – in Amsterdam next week, taking in shows in France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and Austria, before ending on October 20th in London at the Camden Assembly.

The US are also waking up to Kelvin, where he has recently landed a huge nationwide advertising campaign, of which more details will be announced very soon. Not bad for a Stevenage lad!
