KURT VILE & THE VIOLATORS hit the UK in June as part of their European headline tour....

Kurt Vile has been making music for over a decade, carving out a niche for himself with his distinctive blend of folk, rock, and psychedelia. Since his debut album, Constant Hitmaker released in 2008, he has been known for his introspective lyrics and intricate guitar work. His music often explores themes of alienation, anxiety, and the struggle to find meaning in a chaotic world, all delivered in his signature drawling vocals.

Over the years, he has continued to evolve and experiment with his sound, incorporating elements of country, punk, and even experimental music into his work. His album, Bottle It In released in 2018, showcases his eclectic influences and features collaborations with artists like Kim Gordon and Cass McCombs. One of his key strengths as a musician is his ability to create immersive sonic landscapes that transport listeners to another world. Tracks like "Wakin’ on a Pretty Day" and "Pretty Pimpin" showcase his knack for crafting dreamy, hypnotic melodies that linger long after the song has ended.

With his genre-defying sound and introspective lyrics, he has established himself as one of the most compelling and unique voices in indie rock today. His music has the power to transport listeners to another world, and his live shows are not to be missed.

Following the release of his latest and ninth album (watch my moves) back in 2022, acclaimed musician, songwriter and producer Kurt Vile & The Violators finally announces a 2023 headline tour set to stop in eight UK cities including SWX in Bristol on the 15th June ahead of a summer of European dates and festivals.

(watch my moves) was named an album of the year by Uncut, MOJO and The Observer, who described the 15 track collection as “gently psychedelic tunes meandering to just the right places, where Vile’s preternatural serenity felt like a balm.”

Produced by Vile himself with Rob Schnapf, the album features special guests Chastity Belt, Cate Le Bon and percussionists Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint, Courtney Barnett) and Sarah Jones (Hot Chip, Harry Styles). (watch my moves) featured the singles ‘Like Exploding Stones’, ‘Hey Like A Child’, ‘Mount Airy Hill’ and Flyin’ (like a fast train’).
