The Reckless, the electrifying rock band known for their high-energy performances and innovative sound, has recently released a bold new cover of Justin Timberlake's iconic R&B hit ‘SexyBack’.

Transforming the pop classic with its signature rock edge, The Reckless brings a fresh and exhilarating twist to Timberlake’s platinum record. Showcasing The Reckless’ innate versatility, the band demonstrates their incredible ability to make any track their own. Throughout the track, they weave elements of the original into the heavy-hitting soundscape, allowing their distinctive guitar riffs and dynamic drums to propel the track forward. Lead singer Fritz Fayman’s vocals soar over the rich sonic atmosphere below, translating the original melody with his captivating, commanding tone. Speaking on the process of transforming the original, Fritz shares, “When making our version of Sexy Back it started out as something really simple, just using a basic beat pattern and a lot of stop and start moments that you hear in the beginning of the song. As we played it more though we realized that we could make the song into so much more. We made every verse different. The first verse used the original concept behind the cover, the second verse takes a lot of inspiration from the groovy beat of the original, and the last verse takes inspiration from songs such as Killing in the Name of by Rage Against the Machine. The chorus's and bridge take a lot more inspiration from the original but is given a much more intense instrumental and delivery. It was a very long process, as we really wanted to portray the same energy we exude into our live performances of Sexy Back into the recorded version and that took significant trial and error until we finally made a product that we are super proud of and excited to share!”

Lead singer, songwriter, and guitar player, Fritz Fayman, was looking to write his first album, originally as a pet project, but as he started to write more, he felt he had something that could be real. Since their conception, The Reckless has grown into a renowned band in the San Diego music scene. Their live shows have continued to draw in larger and larger crowds, with their striking, rock-fuelled sound creating dynamic and captivating live performances of their incredible discography.
