Tyler Garrett

L.A. based EDM artist Tyler Garrett is celebrating the new year with a fresh single drop as a teaser to a full-length release later this season.

His latest cut, "Old Flames," is a 1980s-inspired dance track that dives into the thoughts, feelings, and longing over lost lovers. The song's electronic bass groove pulls listeners into the sensuality and struggles of breaking out of the chains of past relationships.

"I wrote this track inspired by Michael Jackson's work and his smooth vocals," Garrett said. "Lately I've been drawing inspiration from the early 80s. I'm excited to go in this musical direction in the new year."

Tyler Garrett is a South Carolina native and former choir boy who moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of becoming an EDM composer and performer. Over the last three years, Garrett has been on a songwriting and producing tear, turning out multiple new EPs to keep his growing fan base engaged.

His forthcoming full-length album will follow the release of previous offering Morning Star as well as EPs Potential Love, Undertow and Serenity.

"My fans are everything and have been amazing during this journey, so I'm determined to keep serving them amazing work," Garrett said. "I'm so excited to share this new song so close to my heart as I prepare to unveil my next album."

The Rosemaries

The Rosemaries are a 5 piece alt/post-punk outfit who are keen to leave their mark when it comes to live shows.

Their latest track ‘Hullabaloo’ features witty lyrics set upon ever-changing, guitar led, post punk inspired instrumental. It’s something of a love song that also provides some cutting social commentary, listen closely as there really is something for everyone!

Aside from accosting James Smith from Brit Post-Punk band Yard Act, The Rosemaries have played two supporting gigs at The Fulford Arms in London and their music has been featured on Radio Jorvik and BBC Radio York.

Keen to instil a DIY approach to their sound, all the band's music is currently recorded in a small garden studio that they built in the summer of 2020 (during the first lockdown….remember that?)

The band say that their lyrics are inspired by the likes of Pulp, Joy Division, The Clash, Billy Bragg, The Smiths, Orange Juice, & Yard Act (amongst many others. You’d be wise to keep your eyes on these guys as news travels fast and we wouldn’t want you to be the last to know, go find out about them now and you can then say that you ‘preferred their earlier stuff’ when they hit it big….

Carpe Diem

Carpe Diem is a two-piece band from Hong Kong, featuring Keith on guitar and Ada on vocals.

Their latest track ‘Shadow’ was originally played on acoustic guitar only, and after hearing an ambient cello performance, they wanted to use the cello to represent the emotion of loneliness and thought it would be good to add another level to the track.

Of the track, they say “Abandoned dreams signify emotional wholeness, continuity, commitments and honor in life. It is like a lost shadow on the floor, something missing in your life. There are darknesses in life and there are lights, and you are one of the lights, the light of all lights. "All stars were born in the dark... All darkness dies in the light..."

The "wind sound" before the chorus was inspired by the MV of "Bring Me to Life" by American rock band Evanescence, which also walk us way through the darkness.

Their narrative/poetic lyrics always reflect the meaning of life. Their songs are set like a story-telling journey with thought-provoking/ soul-searching cinematic themes.

Prints of Monaco

Prints of Monaco is a 4 piece indie rock band based in New York City.

With just three songs out to date, they are literally at the start of their musical journey but what a journey this is going to be. New material has been promised by the band for the remainder of 2022 so watch this space for news as it lands.

Their latest track "New Ways" is a beautiful slice of acoustic guitar led indie folk with smooth vocals. the way the track builds as it progresses is immense and makes you want to hit the ‘play’ button as soon as it’s come to an end. The track was recorded at Greylock Studios in Brooklyn, and features Cale Hawkins on synths.

Of the track, they say, “This one is truly thought of as a winter song. The narrator is imagining reconnecting with a lost love.”

The video that accompanies the track was recorded one winter when a snowstorm hit NYC.
