Here we are on March 9th with yet another 9 tracks for you from acts based all over the world. Someone asked me recently if I ever get bored of doing the playlists and my answer was a simple ‘no’. I mean how can you ever get bored of listening to music from so many people, so many styles and genres out there to choose from, if you do ever get bored, you need to think about widening your mindset and stepping outside of your comfort zones now and then, it’s quite liberating!
On this playlist you can look forward to some incredible music from bands and artists based in Exeter, Stoke on Trent, Chesterfield, Nashville, Sydney, London and many other places.

The Tell Alls
Kenny Buono is a Nashville based multi-instrumentalist (guitars, bass, drums/percussion, vocals) who counts The Beatles, Tom Petty and Bob Dylan as key influences on his music.
Kenny got his start in music as the drummer for Flight of Mavis (he eventually continued on his path playing drums for other groups: Buzz Zeemer, Grand and The Trolleyvox). In the course of his tenure, he's played many notable gigs; toured in support of Sinead O'Connor, Squeeze, along with many 1-nighter's as opening act for Goo Goo Dolls, Buzzcocks, Roger McGuinn, Joe Strummer (The Clash), Spin Doctors, and many others.
"Modern Day Mother Teresa" was written in part to pay homage to nurses (healthcare workers) who have braved the COVID-19 pandemic (continue to), putting themselves at risk to try and help others. We felt this courageous act of selflessness was worthy of immortalizing them in song!

Isolated Corners
Edward Tucker is a super talented one man band who plays and produces everything you hear on his latest single ‘I Know Something That I Shouldn’t’ - drawing influence from classic acts such as Queens of the stone age, Radiohead and IDLES, he usually play bass in a 3 piece alt rock band called Big Lava.
This is his first solo release and he has backed it up with a few live shows around Exeter to let people get accustomed with his style and sound. Asked about the shows, Ed said, “It will be me and an acoustic guitar playing acoustic versions of the music you hear online. I've played a few Isolated Corners shows like this and I can confirm, translating a 4-piece band into me and an acoustic guitar is very hard.”
Ed has been recording his EP in his flat and things have often gotten a bit aggressive and loud during the process, to which he added, “To some miracle I've not had any complaints about my yelling yet (knock on wood) I've contemplated naming my upcoming EP "How to get evicted...".
With plenty more in the tank, keep an eye on this bright young artist as I’m sure he will soon be staple on the South West live music scene.

Ian David Green
Ian David Green is a singer-songwriter from Liverpool, now living in London.
Ian’s influences range from folk greats like Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Van Morrison to more contemporary folk / indie / Americana artists such as Damien Jurado, Phosphorescent and Iron & Wine.
With a gift for rich, compelling storytelling and layered lyricism, Ian builds his songs with carefully crafted language, sometimes sparse, sometimes dense, but always considered, evocative and striking. His musical arrangements are classic modern folk in style, centred on guitar and supported by fiddle, piano, harmonica, mandolin and more.
Ian’s debut album, Songs of the Sea, was hailed by folking.com as “a truly magnificent work” and received extensive play on folk and roots radio stations internationally. A live version of ‘Antony and Cleopatra Head for the Highlands’, the opening track of Songs from the Wheel, was a finalist in Americana UK’s Twang Factor competition in late 2021.
Songs from the Wheel is Ian David Green’s second full album, released in February 2022.
With Songs from the Wheel, Green widens his canvas to bring us a selection of compelling stories from an array of characters, each anchored in their own place and time yet re-living and repeating the experiences of countless others - before, after, or yet to come.
These tales and confessions combine like the pieces of a jigsaw to build something far greater than the sum of their parts - a thoughtful, panoramic study of the rich and lyrical landscape of human life and the vastness of the spaces around it.
