Tricia Lo - Cursed By Your Love

Artistic integrity drives this uniquely crafted new alt-pop single from an ever creative Tricia Lo.

Leading with industrial rhythms of various metallic and live sounding sweeps and hits, Cursed By Your Love brings in a rising sense of anticipation that quickly intrigues, and follows it up with that unmistakable vocal as it delves passionately into a surprisingly hooky progression.

Blending unorthodox production with familiar pop stylings, Cursed By Your Love builds up through its stomp of a rhythm in a way that quickly gets the listener involved. The unity between voice and instrumental is powerful, and no doubt elevates the entire track for that clear artistic relevance that Tricia so consistently masters.

In short, catchy pop writing with a completely unexpected manner of sound-design, injecting a welcomed edge of alternative energy and creative passion into the scene, whilst keeping the Tricia Lo voice alive and strong every step of the way. A mighty new anti-love anthem of sorts, interesting and effective, inspiring even for its layers and the sheer use of contrast between quiet and chaotic moments.

Nasmore – Mind in a Maze

"Mind in a Maze" is a bold odyssey that leads straight into the centre of the mind’s eye, fearlessly diving into the thoughts, feelings, and emotions that build us up and break us down.

The track embraces the confusion we experience & turns it into cathartic art reminding us of Dan Brown’s novels. As lyrically thought-provoking as it is authentically captivating to listen to, “Mind in a Maze” takes on challenging themes like depression & mental health struggles, the hyper-medicated state of humanity, simulation theory, the impact of religion in society, and the pain of losing the grip on our self-identity.

It’s a powerful single, designed to hold the mirror up to our society and reflect on what we see is missing.

Kute Juergens - Every Nite

Kute Juergens, born & raised in Berlin, is a singer and multi-instrumentalist who discovered his passion for funk and soul at an early age when he started spinning those 12 inch wax discs as a DJ and listening to Prince.

After playing in several bands, he started recording his first songs in 1989 on an Atari 1040ST (the good old days!) and mixed everything on a 4-track machine. Since 2005 he has been running the Phinemusic Studio "for composition, production, recording, mixing, sound design as well as theater and film music" in Berlin.

Between writing and performing music for theater, creating multi-channel music for the stage and since 2019, doing remixes under his alias $oulh@, he finally found his way to the dance floor in 2021 with the Nu Disco / Indie Dance tracks “You’re the one for me“ and "Every Nite“.

"Every Nite" is the second single of Kute Juergens' funky dance project which demands that you put your good dancin' shoes on and "get up on the dance floor"!

Morning Crush - Brand New House

Sharing personal and political stories through multi-coloured alt-folk sounds, Morning Crush released the DEBUT EP: Brand New House on 26th November 2021.

After playing at the Camden Roundhouse at Lost Evenings festival curated by Frank Turner and selling out their first ever London Headline show at Aces and Eights weeks in advance, Morning Crush release their debut EP Brand New House, a bittersweet tale of retroactive self analysis, heartbreak, re-birth, protest songs, love and musicians on social media.

Drawing influences from Neil Young, Dawes, Bright Eyes, Frank Turner and Will Varley, this EP “Brand New House” is a fine example of just what Morning Crush does best.

This EP adopts the live full band sound of Morning Crush, with punishing and dominating lead guitar riffs mixed with CSNY-esque harmonies. The lyrics tell heartbreaking and profound stories about agonising self reflection, the harsh reality of mental illness , anxiously looking outwards at a polarised world and above all; finding hope and trusting in friendship, love and song.

With its impactful sound and profound honesty, Morning Crush’s debut EP Brand New House is 7 track tale of heartbreak, retroactive analysis, re-birth, writing protest songs, musicians on social media, love and a deeply misunderstood mental illness.

Anindya Mukherjee - Begin Again

Anindya Mukherjee is a songwriter from Kolkata, India and his latest offering ‘Begin Again’ is a piano rock song with elements of blues and country.

Lyrically, I borrowed interesting trivia on two personalities who have persevered amidst severe hardship. The first section of the song is about Nelson Mandela and the second, Mother Teresa. The song has a feeling of hope, and positivity, something that we all need amidst the current uncertainty!

Of the track, he says “The last two years have been very difficult for most of us. With the pandemic entering endemic stage in most countries, it felt like it was time to "Begin Again"“ - We couldn’t agree more!

Anindya cites influences including Pop-Rock singer songwriters like Elton John, Billy Joel, Ben Folds, Peter Concotti & Sara Bareilles who have all helped him to shape his sound which I’m sure you’ll agree nods to each and every one of these super talented luminaries.

Anindya is still chiseling the boulder, hoping to find the statue inside, by the sounds of things, he’s not got that far to go!
