NEVER A HERO - SUDBURY HARDCORE CREW AIM TO BE THE NEXT BIG THING....

“We’re still standing, through all the times that you pushed us aside and now it’s time for action” – The first lyrics you’ll hear from Never a Hero’s opening track to their latest album Bleed between the Lines.

Here clearly lies a band with big aspirations for themselves, and why shouldn’t they? The five piece formed in 2009 in a little market town called Sudbury in Suffolk. Though the town may be small, these boys are making a racket big enough for the whole county to hear.

Fusing elements like metal with crushing guitar riffs and rap with Nintendo like synths is always going to gather attention from those who stumble across this band, some will love them and others will hate them, one things for sure – you won’t be on the fence.

The band have played various venues and festivals all over the UK since their formation which has already rewarded them with a strong fan base as well as nearly 7000 likes on Facebook, they also have music videos all over Youtube for their tracks ‘Burning Skies’ (Featuring guest appearance from Corrie’s Les Battersby!) and ‘From Hero’s to Angels’ (Not featuring any soap stars).

There is something else about this band though, something I didn’t predict after listening to them for the first time… They all wear masks, I’m yet to discover why. Is this perhaps where they gather their secret talents for writing songs as heavy as Slipknot yet as catchy as Bloodhound Gang? I have no idea, though I do plan to find out.

Never a Hero are proving that you don’t have to stick to one style in order to write music that their listeners will enjoy, as an alternative they are combining influences from different genres and making it work in their favour, you may not have heard of them until now and after listening to them you may not be convinced that it’s your “Cup of tea” but one things for sure – you won’t be able to ignore them.

I expect to hear huge things from them in the future.
