What a perfect moment for the New Portals to release their new video of the track 'Groove Boy'!

Since the track's release last October, the Belfast duo not only got some significant airtime on Radio 1 but were also selected as The Guardian’s ‘New Band Of The Week’.

The video puts the alt-pop duo, aka Mike and Ruth Aicken in a retro, almost 80's, minimal setting of spinning, multiple, smokey frames in juxtaposition with a seductive game in progression between a charming, blonde woman and an almost disappointed admirer. 

And of course, the outcome would not have been the same if it wasn't for the dreamy, electro-pop sound of 'Groove Boy'. The smooth synths, the relaxing melody of the xylophone along with the duo's  ethereal vocals really set the track apart from similar offerings in the electro-pop world.
