London electronic/ synth-pop riser Bonze shares the new single ‘Love People’, the second single to be taken from the hotly anticipated upcoming EP ‘Songs For No One’ (due for release summer 2024). 

Capitalising on the success of his previous releases which have seen him gain national press and editorial playlist support, Bonze continues to showcase his unique, Jai Paul inspired alternative-indietronica sound on ‘Love People’. 

Co-written, produced and recorded with San Scout’s Fred Clough (IDER, San Scout, White Lies) and co-produced with Alex Hollingsworth, ‘Love People’ builds a beguiling soundscapes of swirling atmospherics, arpeggiated sub heavy bass and plucky guitar. Topped with Bonze’s processed, affecting lead vocal the track is given a subtle yet infectiously catchy central pin. 

Speaking about the track, Bonze explains: 

“‘Love People’ is about both personal experience but also the human race as a collective. It’s not just about my own ambivalence towards people in general but it’s also a commentary on the confusing behaviour of the human race towards itself when some people; we bomb, whilst others; we hug and kiss.

Lyrics include; ‘how could I ever get anything better, than red hearts on a post whenever?’ is a sarcastic stab at social media. ‘How could you ever get anything better, than a 9-5 forever?’ is a sarcastic jab at office culture & ‘how could we ever get anything better? When everything is on fire, but whatever’ is a comment on global warming.

Following heavy support from BBC Introducing in London, Bonze has seen a whole host of tastemaker press support from the likes of Clash, Wonderland, Rolling Stone, Clout to name a few. Having racked up over 200k streams on Spotify and placements across editorial playlists (Fresh Finds, Viral Hits, Hit Italiane), previous releases ‘Higher’ and ‘Jenny’ were both synced by Porsche in two separate short films/adverts. With a growing live presence having opened for Dutch Criminal Record and sold out headline shows across London, Bonze is an exciting up and comer tipped for big things.
