Rock duo PAPER HANDS release their debut single, ‘Early Warning’
This self-produced track is the first from pop rock duo Paper Hands and it demonstrates their new, unique sound. Echoing bands from the likes of The 1975 and Maximo Park, Paper Hands have emerged with their own exclusive style that it hard to compare.
A complete soundscape surrounding angular and angsty lyrics Paper Hands create this expansive and exciting track. With 80s inspired themes a new wave, pop rock style has been fashioned in a fearless and confident manor. Paper Hands allow the track to breathe and sit in its own style and completely and utterly own it, a feature I hope stays with the new age duo.
After being lifelong friends Campbell and Taylor clearly have the chemistry within ordinary life and this show through in their music writing. With complex sound-scaping the track is allowed space to fill every avenue and each individual layer can be heard and appreciated. Despite the space surrounding the track you can certainly hear the pain and torment in the vocals from Campbell furthering the depth within the track.
