STARSAILOR announce UK dates for their 'Good Souls' greatest hits tour....
Starsailor burst onto the scene back in 2001 and since then have enjoyed 4 albums and a plethora of singles.
Their 2001 debut album 'Love is Here' bought us 'Fever', 'Good Souls' and 'Alcoholic' which ended up reaching the heady height os the top ten, their debut long player peaked at the number 2 spot, not bad at all for a debut offering.
In 2003, they appointed the legendary Phil Spector to produce their second album 'Silence is Easy', this combination resulted in a short lived relationship and only two tracks made the cut for the album. They went on to work alongside Danton Supple (Elbow/Doves) & John Leckie (Stone Roses/Radiohead) to co-produce 7 more tracks for the album which again, peaked at number 2 and soon went gold.
They relocated to Los Angeles to record their third album, 'On the Outside' with producer Rob Schnapf. The sound was different from the previous two releases; it was far heavier than its predecessors, and aimed to capture their live sound.
'All The Plans', their fourth album, saw Ronnie Wood from The Rolling Stones joining the band on the title track. This debuted at Number 26 in the UK Album Charts in March 2009 amidst favourable reviews.
The band have enjoyed more than their fair share of prestigious gigs, supporting the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Police, The Killers, and U2 and have sold over 3 million albums worldwide.
And now they're back.....
They embark on a UK tour on October 2nd in Liverpool, ending up in London at the Shepherds Bush Empire on the 17th, more info and dates below.
Supporting them on the tour will be 3 amazing acts, Kerri Watt, The Sherlocks and the awesome Up Down Go Machine who we had the pleasure of interviewing some time back.
