THE KRIS BARRAS BAND took over London's Thousand Island for the "The Divine and Dirty" album launch party....
Thousand Island in London (formerly Upstairs at The Garage) was taken over by Kris Barras and his band to launch their new album "The Divine and the Dirty", we were there to capture the action.
Opening up the evening was Robert J. Hunter who, armed only with his acoustic guitar and gravel toned vocals, won over the room in next to no time. He treated us to a masterclass in blues rock and even managed to slip in a ballad "to make us feel even more depressed so we buy more beer on a cold Tuesday evening".
He normally plays with a full band and if his solo performance is anything to go by tonight, I strongly recommend you check out the full fat version!
At 9 o' Clock sharp, Kris Barras and his band took to the stage, the room was heaving by the time I pulled out my camera and managed to squeeze off a few snaps before moving towards the back of the room to take in the awesome sound that was filling the room.
Kris played tracks from his previous album 'Lucky 13' and from his latest release 'The Divine and Dirty' which is released on March 23rd.
With his sublime playing style, awesome voice and the raw power of his band, Kris wowed the audience that was made up of hardcore fans who came for a fabulous night and left feeling truly fulfilled!
