The only support tonight came from Tim Muddiman & The Strange. Having never heard of this act before, I was unsure of what to expect but they played a 30 minute set of well composed ballads. Tim Muddiman, the man himself, was an unassuming frontman and was very interesting to watch. His presence was exciting yet nothing like what I expected for a Gary Numan support act. The most notable track for me was 'Bullet Stroke', although none of the tracks were introduced.

So after a break and the occasional shouts of ‘Numan!’, the man himself took to the stage. An impressive presence and one that took full control of an awaiting audience that sought his attention. Playing a 20 strong set of his finest tracks, both younger and older fans appreciating the carefully constructed setlist. Die hard fans singing along to every word and making sure that he had the best reception possible on this Autumnal Saturday night. My two notable tracks of the night were ‘Cars’ and ‘Are ‘Friends’ Electric?’, two songs that had the crowd reminiscing their earlier release dates. This was a night that was always going to be a hit, and inside the gorgeous backdrop of the Bush Hall, it was a special venue for a very special occasion.

As the tour comes to a close, this seems the last we will hear from Numan for a while. However, this is due to his plans of releasing a brand new album.
