The lineup for BEAUTIFUL DAYS this year is OFF THE SCALE....

 

Headlining Friday at the 15th Beautiful Days, we are delighted to welcome back Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott who will perform songs from their two Top 5 albums and classic tracks from their impressive back catalogues. Headlining on Saturday is Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls - one of Britain’s hardest working musicians, Frank has just celebrated playing his 2,000th show. Sunday night headliners are our festival foundersLevellers who bring the weekend to a close with a special show followed by the annual firework finale.



Joining them on the Main Stage bill are rock band The Sisters Of Mercy, musical duo Public Service Broadcasting, The Waterboys under the leadership of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mike Scott, Malian blues band Songhoy Blues,  rock legends New Model Army who recently released new album Winter,  Dubioza Kolektiv bringing hip-hop, reggae and dub from the Balkans and Irish punk rock band Stiff Little Fingers. The festival also welcome one of the finest indie bands of the last decade Turin Brakes, plus 90s legends Lightning Seeds, the amazing The Cuban Brothers, dub ensemble Zion Train, Hepcat, Talisman, Animal Noise and festival favourites Ferocious Dog.


 
Headlining The Big Top stage is one of Britain’s finest recording artists, Grammy-nominated Alison Moyet, plus one of the most creative and individualistic bands of their generation Therapy? performing an acoustic set and the creators of Rockgrass Hayseed Dixie. Joining them on the bill are folk super-group Eliza Carthy & The Wayward Band fronted by traditional folk powerhouse Eliza Carthy, Irish folk group Kila, punk rock legend Glen Matlock, Ireland's preeminent singer songwriter Damien Dempsey, pioneering contemporary folk trio Lau, plus Gaz Brookfield & The Company of Thieves, Lankum (Lynched), Manchester's finest ethio-trad, folk-hop band Honeyfeet, Sean McGowan , American horn-and-percussion trio Moon Hooch and Levellers who open the show on the Friday with an acoustic set.



The Little Big Top will play host to The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club, Irish dance band King Kong Company,  legendary combination ofMad Professor Dub Show With Big Youth,  Jack Tyson Charles, The Correspondents, DC Breaks,  film-maker, musician & DJ Don Letts, Barry Ashworth,  Barely Legal, drum and bass DJ Majistrate, Lionstar, DJ Prophecy, Serum & K-Koi, Global, ska band Mighty Cosmics, Future Flex, Babal, regulars Mr Nice, Ben & Lex and Lewah, plus DJ Ambiessence, Rosco & Agony, DJ Shinybeast, Catalyst & Operation D & Westman, family afternoon rave with Big Fish Little Fish and Silent Disco in the small hours, with DJs to be announced.



The seated Theatre Tent welcomes back, by popular demand, The Circus Of Horrors, plus performance poet Murray Lachlan Young, Breach Theatre presenting The Beanfield, magician Peter Clifford, Scratchworks presents The Great Train Robbery, plus Mrs H And The Sing Along Band,  Entertainingly Different presenting morning Rise And Shine shows and also Aerodynamics Of Biscuits, Le Navet Bete return with two shows Circo Spectaculo & Festival Fitness With David and Circo Rum Ba Ba presents The Crow’s House.


 
The Band Stand plays host to Andy Twyman, Doozer McDooze,  Jake Martin, Folk The System, Small & Gold, Peter Bruntnell, Matilda’s Scoundrels, The Dambuskers, King Size Slim, Bar Steward Sons Of Val Doonican, John Robb In Converation With and The Fox & The Pirate.



The THEME for the 15th Beautiful Days festival is ROCK THE BOAT – the festival will be looking out for pirates, mermaids, sailors, fish and crustaceans to get on board!



Beautiful Days is a family music festival that has no corporate sponsorship or branding and does not advertise. The festival, celebrating 15 YEARS in 2017, is organised by DMF Music and takes place at Escot Park in Devon. It has six stages including a seated Theatre Tent plus site art installations, a huge children’s area, family camping, licensed real ale bars from Otter Brewery & a great choice of food and craft stalls.
