Did you read about the couple that had been told that they had won the Euro Millions jackpot of £182million only to receive a call moments later to advise that because the Direct Debit payment didn’t go through, they hadn’t? it made me smile in a sick, sadistic and rather twisted way though I guess I’ll just blame this on lockdown!

So from one failed lottery winner to a wonderful band called The Lottery Winners who release their much anticipated 8 track ‘Start Again EP’ on Friday 5th March.

The band has worked incredibly hard, and with some ingenuity, to gather features with Frank Turner, Louise Wener of Sleeper and another giant of the 90’s indie era, Miles Hunt of The Wonder Stuff. This is in addition to their powerful, Covid-era manifesto, An Open Letter To Creatives, which found front man, Thom Rylance, making public words he wrote to himself as encouragement in a low moment.
