THE NEW FABIAN SOCIETY TO RELEASE 'MELT EP' ON APRIL 10TH....

In 2013, when the never ending whirlpool of repetition, impersonation and facsimile performers that where passing as the new music scene became too much to bear, Glasgow's then little known and steadfastly reclusive, The New Fabian Society, gathered their courage and stepped onto a stage.

Originally numbering only 2, drummer (Alex) and vocalist/guitarist (Michael), both with their eyes locked intently on their own feet for fear of catching someones gaze, they braved an initially disinterested and apathetic Sunday night crowd in a Glasgow dive bar, driven by an insatiable desire to scatter the seeds of the idea they'd been quietly nurturing in the previous year of self imposed isolation.

First to perform on typically lazily arranged mixed bill featuring rock, acoustic and pop punk, probably booked only as a filler with the promoter clearly only having skimmed their demo submission, the sparse beat of the kick drum began the 7 minute decent into their cinematically noir opener (and now firm fans favourite) 'Lost In Berlin' and continued with a set of sonically rich, edgy and brooding psych-post-punk songs imbued with a ferocious passion that belied their inexperience and initially awkward onstage demenour and which immediately set them apart from their musical peers.

TNFS where quickly signed to the now defunct Electric Company Records, releasing 3 well received EP's & 2 singles and collecting an evergrowing entourage of often disenfranchised but dedicated fans wheverever they performed on their deliberatley meandering and irregular tour schedules. Followers from all over the UK and beyond seem to identify with TNFS outsider status while the bands bleak and sometimes disturbing take on modern rock and roll resonates equally with the most discerning music fan and with the lunatic fringe wherever they perform.

The New Fabian Society metamorphisis continues with 'Melt EP' on Glasgow's favourite Independent Label DEADBEET RECORDS. Featuring 3 unhinged, bruising tracks containing shades of psych, punk and rock n roll that firmly establish the band as a 3 piece with the addition of Conor on bass. 'Melt' see's TNFS continue their upward trajectory and they will be forcibly reaching into the subconcious of gig goers and unwitting music lovers alike throughout 2015.
