Second Single ‘The Fire’ Taken From Upcoming EP ‘This Wilderness’
The Silence are a surge in Melodic pop-punk alternative rock. With crisp chops, anthemic builds, delicious hooks and lush vocals, this is a band who are truly alive and full of wildfire. There is no shoegazing here – everything, from the bands songs to videos, from their live shows to their image, is in your face – bright and loud and for a new Generation X.
New single ‘The Fire’ is taken from their upcoming EP ‘ This Wilderness’. Due for release on Monday 2nd June, the track is set to blaze a trail in hot pursuit of their previous effort ‘Barriers’, which was play listed by MTVU and broadcast on rotation to 800 American Universities and radio stations, and was the number 1 song on Reverbnation’s rock chart for several weeks. The tracks video was also licensed to be shown on over 8000 outlets across the UK, USA, Asia and Canada.
The band spent a week writing and rehearsing ‘This Wilderness’ at Howsham Hall in Yorkshire, a 73 room, 6 million pound mansion – and they had it all to themselves, setting their gear up next to various stuffed bears and crocs in the main hall to play and write at night, swimming in the ground’s rivers during the day.
Expect an explosive set of live shows. The band even take touring by the balls, having ripped up venues all Europe, and the USA. Their road antics are as expected from a proper rock band. They regularly play guerrilla street gigs to promote shows and raise money to keep touring. They have stranded band members accidentally on the side of the road. They have had a gig shut down by Spanish police – twice. They may be The Silence: but they are A Riot.
