We check out some of the acts that YOU can enjoy at this year's CORNBURY FESTIVAL

With CORNBURY FESTIVAL happening from 8 - 10 July this year we’ve taken a look through the STELLAR lineup that they have prepared for you and wanted to let you know about some of the acts to make a beeline for whilst you’re there.

Everyone knows who Bryan Adams is (Bloke who did the ‘Robin Hood Prince of Thieves’ song), and The Darkness (screaming frontman, “I Believe in a Thing Called Love”) and hopefully James Blunt (“You’re Beautiful, It’s True”) so we’re going to focus on some of the acts that you may not be so familiar with.

To help you out, we’ve added details of what days the bands or artists will be playing, for more information, head to the CORNBURY FESTIVAL WEBSITE

Friday 8th July

Amy Montgomery

Amy Montgomery is a uniquely talented singer songwriter from Lisburn.

Forestside first saw Amy when she entered our Under 19 Singer Songwriter competition in 2016 for which she was highly commended. She has since gone on to record her first EP to great acclaim with well known producer Michael Mormecha at Millbank Studio near Lisburn.

Michael Mormecha’s mixed and mastered version of Amy's Forestside entry 'Dangerous' was subsequently picked up and used by Fujifilm as a promotional video for Fujifilm and is available worldwide.

Ferris & Sylvester

Ferris & Sylvester received the coveted ‘Emerging Artist Award’ at the UK Americana Awards back in 2020, selected by Radio 2’s Bob Harris who declared the band “a rising force in British music [with] a sound that is absolutely unique.”

From here, they have literally gone from strength to strength having played in the UK and America including at SXSW, Nashville's AmericanaFest and Glastonbury festival.

I forget how many times Ive seen them at various venues across the UK and every time, they have delivered an absolutely gorgeous show regardless of the venue being a small intimate affair or an arena worthy of larger touring acts.

You can catch this stunning duo performing at Cornbury Festival on the Friday, get there early, claim your ground and enjoy!

Andy Fairweather Low

Andy Fairweather Low came to prominence as the lead singer in Amen Corner. The 60s saw them clock up hit after pop hit. Songs such as Bend Me Shape Me, Hello Suzy and (If Paradise is) Half As Nice are internationally remembered to this day.

In 2019 Andy was recognised as being among the top echelon of the world’s guitar layers when Eric Clapton invited him as a named guest to play at the Crossroads Guitar Festival, and Andy with the band completed another hugely successful 43 date UK tour

Beans on Toast

Beans On Toast is the stage name of British folk singer Jay McAllister from Braintree, Essex, England, who rose to prominence out of the UK folk scene in 2005. His songs often centre around the topics of politics, drugs and love. Beans On Toast has released fourteen studio albums, traditionally releasing a new record each year on 1 December, McAllister's birthday.

This guy is immense live, often choosing to play without the aid of a setlist and in bare feet, donning a peaked cap with a flower, Beans will keep you entertained for as long as you can handle his witty, honest and very precise takes on life, love and just about everything inbetween.

Beans has performed at the Glastonbury Festival every year since 2007. He supported Kate Nash at London's Hammersmith Apollo in 2008 and has supported the likes of Frank Turner and Flogging Molly amongst other acts and artists along the way.

Whatever time Beans is booked to play, be there, you’ll have a blast and if he decides to perform some of his classics which cover chicken farming, MDMA, the war on drugs and many more, you’ll be in for a treat!

The Lottery Winners

In 2020 The Lottery Winners truly bloomed, with their debut album entering the Official Charts at #10 and #3 in the vinyl chart on the day lockdown was announced. Literally living in a bubble, the band worked day and night on creative projects, writing and recording a wealth of new music, collaborating with Frank Turner, Sleeper, the Wonder Stuff and even (bizarrely) Nickelback.

Penning songs like ‘Start Again’, ‘An Open Letter to Creatives’, and the ‘The Days Keep Passing Me By’, the band have created a legacy that is a real timestamp and saw them gain over 10 million streams on Spotify. They even made their own TV show with an impressive line-up of celebrity guests.

Cornwall trio William the Conqueror have been picking up praise from far flung corners ever since Ruarri Joseph took the step to go public with his erstwhile secret alter-ego.

Debut album, ‘Proud Disturber of the Peace’, was released to widespread critical acclaim, and their shows have been steadily winning over fans up and down the country.
