Starting out at the end of 2014, four lads raised in Plymouth, who enjoyed playing "filthy rock 'n' roll", decided to work together to create original music that means something to them.  The band have values and their music actively promotes equality and diversity, freedom and peace.

For the past year and six months they have perfected their sound, scribbled thoughts and words down on paper, twanged and plucked their instruments to create the most virtuous, raucous majestic tracks on the dirtiest, noisiest album I have listened to in some time.  It’s rather good.  I could hear echoes of the Foo Fighters, Nirvana and even Revolution by the Beatles (in which Ringo drummed so hard he wailed that he had blisters on the ends of his fingers).  I get the same sense of raw power across the whole album.   

The final track of their Album, coincidentally going by the same name Revolution (Revelations) begins with strong lead guitar of which Jimi Hendrix would be proud, before sleazy, raw vocals reminiscent of Billy Idol which rage against the establishment and drive the track into a heavy drums and guitar led orgasm of noise.  Mike manages to make a relatively modest drum kit sound twice the size! These days, I’m as bald as a coot, and my head banging days are long gone, but Black Tree Suns certainly got me back in the mood.

The two Dans on guitar and vocals with Dieter on Bass and Mike on Drums set out to achieve a dirty powerful wall of noise, Wash Them All Away is certainly that. They have managed to capture a tight performance, rather excellently recorded by Andrew Doc Collins from Plymouth Music Collective (PMC). I suspect that their live show is quite something too. 

You can see them in Saltash on the 23rd Sept at the Livewire Rocks Fundraiser, then on the 24th Sept at the Junction in Plymouth when they are in a line-up boasting Kernyuck and Cybernetic Witch Cult, be there!
