What's happening at the NEW LION BREWERY in October - Find out here....

For those of you not in the know, the New Lion Brewery was active between 1850 – 1926 and at its peak, owned 26 pubs which served its award winning beers. Fast forward to 2013, a passionate group of Totnesians brought the brewery back to life when they started to brew beer once again to boost the local economy. A new brewery was built on Station Road in Totnes and has since moved to Webbers Yard in Dartington where they have the capacity to produce 45 barrels of beer per week. In addition to their 3 basic beers, they have also been working with local businesses and community groups to create experimental and one-off beers such as a pumpkin ale, a chilli beer and even a mushroom stout. The brewery now has approximately 270 shareholders.

As well as award winning beer, food is available from 3pm Wednesday – Sunday from Pizzalogica (based inside the building). Food is also available Friday – Sunday (weather permitting) from outside food vendors (curry, thai, kebabs, tacos etc) – please check the New Lion social media to see who is coming and when.

The Meadowbrook site in Dartington is a wonderful location, run by a great team, it hosts a multitude of live events including DJ sessions, bands, quiz nights, beer tasting and even theatre. There is adequate outdoor and indoor seating, so whatever the weather, the show will still go on!
