New label Disorder Recordings is set to release new material from Scottish skygazers The Machine Room in March. The Machine Room packed out many venues throughout 2013 including The Shacklewell Arms, Birthdays and The Bull & Gate as well as appearing at festivals such as T In The Park.

After a 6 month delay, indie-rock band KILTO TAKE launch their eagerly awaited, powerful debut album, aptly named ‘RESOLUTE’, this week on Medical Records.

With only a few weeks until the release of new album ‘Awake’, Tycho has revealed a superb new track, ‘Spectre’, from the forthcoming record, which is set for release on March 17th via Ghostly International. Tycho is set to play a series of European tour dates this Spring including an almost sold out show in London on March 26th at Oval Space.

I haven't been in touch for a long time, but with good reason!  

Since their debut (the State of Things) in 2007, Sheffield’s own Reverend and the Makers have built an important fan base and toured with some big hitters. 2014 sees the release of their fourth studio album Thirty Two which is the age of lead singer Jon McClure (we think he doesn’t look a day over 25).

‘Seasons Change’ the latest release from four piece alt-rockers Haarts, immediately evokes passion from the soul. The atmosphere of melody is really powerful and is reminiscent of a band such as Elbow.

Jacques Caramac and The Sweet Generation are a Franco-Scottish-Bolivian group who claim they are observing their world, like the rest of us, on the edge of clever and stupid. We check out their debut album “The Highs and Lows……” to find out if they are walking that fine line or do they err to one side or the other.

New album from a kind of Glasgow version of The Kings of Leon? I don’t mean that the Gifted Kings sound similar to the American stadium-filling, chart-botherers, more that the bands members are all related, either as brothers or cousins. The band recorded their album at the legendary Rockfield Studios as used by a veritable who’s who of the music world. So – how does the family’s music sound, does it stand up alongside some of the great acts that have also used the studio?
