After being championed by Radio 1 in their coveted Introducing slot and recently being chosen as Zane Lowe’s ‘Next Hype’, Leon Else is ready to turn up the heat with the release of River Full Of Liquor, the lead track to be taken from his debut EP, out on 7th July.

‘Mindwaves’, released 21st July on Schnitzel Records, is the new long player from The Moons. A rich sounding, 21st century, psychedelic space odyssey, it’s full of well-crafted songs and infectious rhythms, steeped in love and destruction, peace and paranoia. Classic pop melodies brim with tight harmonies and layered guitars resulting in a rich and varied collection of songs. 

Amber Sway is a three piece indie rock band from Bridgend in South Wales, they formed back in 2012 and have garnered an impressive following on Soundcloud. 

We caught up with Adam from the band in his local Bridgend milkshake joint and whilst choosing from the menu, we asked him a bunch of questions, here's how we got on....

Don’t be put off by the initial bouncy indie opening track from King of the Road as this album slowly becomes a more poignant, well-travelled release combining the sounds of Coldplay, Keane and Stereophonics. For me the voice suited to the likes of Rod Stewart is well fashioned with delicate poignant sounds from gentle guitar picking in I’ve Got A Feeling to Hundred Year Flood.

Music that is atmospheric like a soundscape is completely unique within itself. Choosing to shun the traditions of song format in favour of song lyrics as poetry, spoken word with simple constructed guitars and elegant sounds that tell a story. 

Franco and the Dreadnought is Franco (aka John Blaylock) and the Dreadnought (aka DXME Martin Acoustic Guitar), he plays a lush blend of acoustic indie-folk and comes from Manchester. We caught up with him and discussed Desmond Tutu, Noel Gallagher and Full English breakfasts, here's how we got on....

Been meaning to show you this. Before we went on tour we gathered a whole wealth of footage from last year, shot in Wales while recording Let’s Go Extinct. It was a special time for us, feeling a record crystallising and sort of making itself. The empty, cold spaces around us seemed to be a part of it too, and we felt like all this needed to be documented in some form. Here it is, in a condensed, impressionistic sort of way – this is what it felt like.
