Was this the third or the fourth time that we have covered 'From the Jam'?, I honestly cannot recall! Headed up by Bruce Foxton and ably assisted by Russell Hastings on guitars and vocals, they forge a strong partnership in proving that, despite the songs being nearly 40 years old, they still carry the weight that was delivered so many years ago and turned on so many people to music during their mid to late teens. We attended the show at Exeter Phoenix to see if they still had what it took to deliver the drive and passion that the original band managed back in the day.... 

It was after a breathtakingly brutal show in London in 2016 that a colleague of mine told me to look out for the new long player from Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes. I’d heard that Frank was a phenomenal front man and that his shows were nothing short of spectacular, so off I went, researching this heavily tattooed red headed wild man of punk rock. 

The Great American Railroad, something that has fascinated many over the years, the stories and the music, all bought to life when you start to delve into the colourful history of this amazing subject. Billy Bragg and Joe Henry took things one step further when, in 2016, they boarded a Los Angeles bound train at Chicago's Union Station.

Deaf Havana have announced a set of in-store signings to celebrate the release of their new album 'All These Countless Nights', out 27th January via SO Recordings. They will be visiting 5 record shops for signings/live sessions from Jan 28th to Feb 2nd.

Cinematic pop-purveyors AMBER RUN are to tour their sophomore album For A Moment, I Was Lost in early February 2017. We caught up with lead singer Joe Keogh from the band to chat about the recording process, festivals and most importantly, who would be the last man standing in an Amber Run 'Death-match', here's how we got on....

Liverpool songwriter Ian Prowse and Punk Pop raconteur and Louder than War editor John Robb have joined forces to try and save the overnight DJ jobs of Janice Long and Alex Lester on BBC Radio 2. 

They've setup an online petition on www.change.org, which has already had over 1000 signatures in 48 hours as the pair raise awareness to last weeks decision from the BBC.
