We LOVE these guys, having first seen them way back in 2010 when they were flogging their guts out on the road promoting their debut record Growing Pains we've had the pleasure of bumping into them at various festivals including BOARDMASTERS and most recently, in Bristol where they did a mighty fine job of supporting DEAF HAVANA, we caught up with guitarist/vocalist Matt Bigland to chat about life on the road and how they survive at major music festivals..... 

We heard that The Lounge Kittens are set to appear at DOWNLOAD Festival in June, having seen them last year at another festival in the Southwest, I wanted to chat to the ladies about their sound, their celebrity fans and most importantly, just HOW DO YOU survive a large scale music festival. When my good friend and contributor to musicmuso.com emailed me with an idea, I'm always keen to see what's been floating around his head. Steve Ignorant is best known as the vocalist and co-founder of Crass, undoubtedly one of the most influential punk bands England has ever produced. Steve performed at the Exeter Phoenix on 13th April 2017 with his new project ‘Steve Ignorant’s Slice of Life’ headlining a show cross-promoted by Exeter Cavern and Old Hat. The crowd was made up of punks of all ages and our own resident punk was on the scene to report on the events of the night.

The two hugely talented musicians who make up Rodina are singer Aoife Hearty from Ireland who now lives near Manchester and co-writer/producer Joe Tatton. The band’s current single "What If…" is taken from the album and the video feature a lush video filmed in the Peak District. 

When Gavin Rossdale and Co. (aka BUSH) announced that they were returning with Black and White Rainbows, their first album since 2014's Man on The Run, which came out to somewhat tepid reviews, the public and their critics were chomping at the bit to hear something worth listening to. It's safe to say that they have delivered!

After forming in 1984, Enuff Z’Nuff came to prominence with the release of their 1989 eponymously titled debut album. The singles “New Thing” and “Fly High Michelle” received plenty of airplay on MTV and created a bit of a buzz around the band but despite the critical acclaim that accompanied their first 3 album releases, none of them provided the band with the hit their output possibly deserved. Despite being dropped by the majors, the band have continued to tour and record (14 studio albums and counting…..).

We sent Adrian Grainger to The Camden Underworld venue to check out their latest tour.

On the 13th of February I got the opportunity to see the band Modern Baseball at the Bierkeller in Bristol and, being one of my favourite bands, I was more than excited to be on the front-row for the show. Read on to see how I got on....

You Me At Six were on a UK arena tour to promote their 5th studio album Night People which was recorded in Nashville with the award winning producer Jacquire King who has had the pleasure of working with the likes of Kings of Leon and James Bay. I was keen to see how tracks from their new album would be received in a live environment, so it was off to the Plymouth Pavilions to see what they thought….
