The EP, to be titled Autumnal, is set to be released in early 2019, preceded by the lead single, Dover, a nod to his UK roots and the springboard to his new life on the continent. The EP release will be supported by live performances, giving Joshua ample opportunity to display his loop pedal and vocalizer skills, not to mention his hugely engaging personality.

Whilst the city of Plymouth was gearing up for its final Saturday night before Christmas, a triple header, consisting of Plymouth musicians Jamie Yost, Matthew Gordon Price and Drake’s Island assembled for a non-festive musical offering at The Terrace which is a cosy cafe/restaurant/bar, situated a stone’s throw from Plymouth’s Hoe.

Coming three years after their brooding, ultra-serious concept album 'Drones', Teignmouth's finest release their eighth studio album in the form of 'Simulation Theory', which saw it's first single released a full eighteen months before the "parent" record was released. We delved into the long player and wrote what we thought…..

The Meat Puppets’ story begins with three kids, enamored of music and immersed in the psychedelic drug culture of Arizona in the ’70s, who find their way to punk rock and painstakingly become one of the most important bands of the American underground.  “We began to make such a hellacious racket that we knew we were on to something,” says returning drummer Derrick Bostrom.  The Puppets went on to achieve mainstream rock stardom, with a hiatus and resurrection to follow. 

Another year, and another raft of records has come and gone. Some good, some bad, some completely off the bat-shit crazy scale (did The Residents have anything out this year? I'm still recovering from hearing 'Animal Lover' back in 2005...) Rather than compile a simple top ten of 2018, here are some of the albums that ticked some slightly different boxes for me this year...

I’ve had the fortune of seeing The Wedding Present a few times in my colourful life, most recently, it was at Bristol’s O2 Academy where they were supporting The Wonder Stuff but I reach back even further in my mind to recall shows at Exeter Cavern (where we were watching them this evening), Exeter Lemon Grove and dare I say it, The Great Hall at Exeter University (my mind is rather fuzzy around the early 90’s so I can’t be 100% sure).

The Wedding Present will be playing a series of concert dates in 2018 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the release of their first singles collection, Tommy.

Consisting of founders Curtis Don Vito (lead singer), Andy Lux (lead guitar), and Mark Ohrenberger (drums), along with Lenny Spickle (rhythm guitar). SNEW has released four albums, numerous singles and has sustained a steady tour schedule across the US along with occasional major festival appearances. SNEW maintains an international fan base with critical acclaim from major publications and radio around the world.
