I was quite excited to listen to this newest band from Copenhagen, Denmark, I eagerly await the sounds of the first track, "Rumours".  I am greeted warmly with a beauteous piano, emitting minor chords as it paces through a slow yet steady introduction.... Which then leads us to a barrage of instruments, all played ideally and quite well, giving me just a taste of what this magnanimous, introspective and unique band has to offer.

Alan McGee is a Scottish businessman and music industry executive. He has been a record label owner, musician, manager, and music blogger for The Guardian. 

He is best known for co-founding and running the independent Creation Records label and is the man who discovered & signed OASIS. 

Threatpoint is a Thrash/Groove/Metal quintet from Scranton, Pennsylvania (yep, the same place where the TV series THE OFFICE is based) who blend many different styles of hard rock and metal to make up their unique sound. Growing tired of the endless negativity they see out there in the world, they focus on positive messages within their music to bring hope and strength to the listener.

We caught up Chris James (vocalist) from the band for a quick chat about how they started out, meeting heroes and what he loves and hates about the music industry, here’s how we got on….

You may have noticed that we’ve been chatting to bands and artists that are going to be performing at this year’s BOARDMASTERS FESTIVAL which takes place in Newquay, Cornwall from 7-11 August. We saw that an Australian born singer songwriter called LUCY GALLANT is playing on the View stage on Sunday afternoon and we were keen to find out more about her and her music, here’s how we got on….

After a couple of hours on the M5, we were looking forward to seeing the mighty DEAF HAVANA headline the O2 Academy in Bristol, we saw these guys tear the roof off the place back in 2017 and we were keen to see if they were going to repeat the performance….

MY BABY are perpetually touring the globe with headline tours and main stage festival appearances (Bestival, Boomtown, Wilderness, Shambala) with their unique and highly popular brand of stomping, shamanic, psych-rock. They hit the UK as part of their world tour next week and will be appearing at the following venues;

It’s great to see that the curators of Cornish based festival TUNES IN THE DUNES have branched out this year and have created TUNES IN THE CASTLE, a family friendly event packed full of incredible bands and medieval themed entertainment. Taking place at POWDERHAM CASTLE (just outside Exeter) from 3-4 August, you can look forward to seeing the likes of FRANK TURNER & THE SLEEPING SOULS, PIXIE LOTT, SCOUTING FOR GIRLS, SUGARHILL GANG, WARD THOMAS and many more….

Today, JOHNNY LLOYD unveils ‘Rich And Poor’, the second single to arrive from his much anticipated debut solo album ‘Next Episode Starts In 15 Seconds’ (out 3 May, via Xtra Mile Recordings). 

George Benson gets back to Americana basics on 'Walking to New Orleans', the legendary jazz guitarist's double-barreled tribute to both piano-pounding Crescent City hit machine Fats Domino and the original rock guitar hero and poet, Chuck Berry. The album will be released on 26th April via Mascot Label Group/Provogue.

Over 30 years since its initial release, the maverick New York City outfit LIVING COLOUR will be revisiting their infamous debut record end-to-end on stages across the country, plus a smattering of hits from their establishment-quaking career.

BLACK FLAG is an American band formed in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, CA by guitarist, primary songwriter, and sole continuous member Greg Ginn. 

The band is currently recording new material for a future studio release and will be touring in the UK in October.

Tickets on sale from 9am Wednesday 6th March.
