ALSO ANNOUNCES INTIMATE UNDERPLAY SHOW AT JACK SOLOMON’S CLUB ON NOVEMBER 27TH

We’d been looking forward to tonight’s show for a few weeks, tickets were purchased as soon as we saw them advertised on their website and with the added bonus of a photo pass being provided by the venue, we were good to go.

“I remember one night in Germany when us and our Crazy Carter Crew went to see the Wonder Stuff play and we got pretty drunk and crowd surfed a bit too much. Miles had to tell us to fuck off because we were ruining the gig”.

We caught up with Jim-Bob (from Carter USM) ahead of him hitting the road with The Wonderstuff of their Nov/Dec UK tour…..

I wanted to tell you about a very special gig that is taking place at The Barrel House Ballroom in Totnes on Saturday 16th November (8pm) with Evi Vine and special guests Soot Sprite. Two absolutely sublime bands live in one night!

Upon hearing that the London based indie-folk-pop girlband called TRILLS are releasing their new single 'Super Blue Moon' on November 15th, I got in touch with them and asked if they’d be up for answering a few questions, the stars clearly aligned as they said YES! We chatted about how the band formed, breaking London and who would be headlining at their very own 3 day music festival….

Upcoming release ​Super Blue Moon​ is a gossamer-like ballad, all diaphanous synths and interweaving ethereal harmonies.

The Brand New Heavies are a band that formed in the mid 1980’s on the back of the rare groove scene in London, they enjoyed phenomenal success in the early 90’s as a forerunner of the Acid Jazz movement and continue to release music and tour the word to this very day. We heard that they were bringing their funky floorshow to Exeter’s Phoenix and wanted to be there to witness the band in action….

I was driving home one evening from a show in Exeter recently and I heard a song being played on Radio 2 by Brad Paisley. He was talking about the artist and said that she was from St Ives in Cornwall, as soon as I got in, I looked her up and thought I’d drop her a line to see if she’s be happy to run an interview feature on the site, she was!

We chatted about a whole bunch of topics including her early days, getting a recording contract and guilty pleasures, read on to see how we got on….

Fresh from a spellbinding performance at London’s O2, TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB reach Plymouth on the final date of their UK arena tour to promote their fourth long player False Alarm. The Plymouth audience had turned out in their droves on this blustery Sunday evening to catch the band in Devon’s capital city. There were two support acts on the bill with them, BLOXX and SPORTS TEAM, both London based bands who I had never heard of before tonight. We got comfy and waited for the evening to unfold….

35 years after their last UK tour, Black Flag return. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to see one of the most important punk bands of all time, and yet… the Tramshed in Cardiff is NOT sold out. It’s busy, and there’s a buzz of excitement in the air, those who are attending realise the magnitude of the event they are at however the last decade hasn’t been kind to the bands legacy. Ferris & Sylvester were in Exeter for the final date of their mammoth UK tour. Having sold out The Cavern back in February, I was pleased that they’d decided to move to The Phoenix over the road where they would enjoy a bit more space to allow their fans to congregate once again to watch them perform.
