We caught up with Frank Turner recently to chat about his new ‘Live in Newcastle’ album and discussed a ton of other topics all in 14 minutes which is a world record for me - Read on and hit play to listen to the audio interview feature.

GRAMMY® nominated, Southern California-bred sister band HAIM have released ‘I Know Alone’ today from their highly anticipated forthcoming album Women In Music Pt. III (Polydor Records).

I posted a feature a few weeks back about some forthcoming live dates that London based legendary punk band SNUFF were doing in May, well guess what? they’re all postponed due to this bloody Corona Virus thingy that has literally turned everybody’s lives upside down, but, I have good news……

Alanis Morissette has unveiled her new single ‘Diagnosis’. ‘Diagnosis’ is not an official single, but a release from Alanis to her fans as she feels it relates to what´s currently going on in the world. It is also another taste from her upcoming ninth studio album, 'Such Pretty Forks In The Road’ which will be released later this year.

What a better time to release an album full of murderous screams and repetitive, completely mental-sounding humans than the current state of the world - The PANDEMIC.

VIDEO NASTIES, the Liverpool/Merseyside based metal outfit, is also the band that signed to APF records in 2019 on Halloween Day and released their album ‘Dominion’ on Friday 13th March - You have got to give credit where credit is due - they certainly have a 'theme' to their music and they aren’t going to waiver from it anytime soon.

Consisting of 20 tracks and spanning the best part of 2 hours, the album covers his career to date and is filled with some brilliantly humour and between song banter that really draws you into Frank’s world, a world that not many folk would survive - believe me, I’ve seen his tour schedule! He takes time to explain where the influence for the songs came from, these range from failed relationships, gruelling tour schedules, international layovers at bizarre airport lounges and fascinating tales from his colourful life on the road.

Returning to where it all began, NED’S ATOMIC DUSTBIN have announced two special shows at Stourbridge Town Hall for this coming December, with two at London Dingwalls the week prior.

It has been over 30 years since Ned’s Atomic Dustbin recorded their debut release, The Ingredients EP, just a few hundred yards from Stourbridge Town Hall. Although reunited since 2008, this will be the first time the original 5-member line-up have played in Stourbridge since 1988 and the first time they have played Dingwalls, their first London headline and sell-out, since 1990.

Since BoJo, the bumbling mop haired jester advised us to ‘stay the fuck indoors’, I’ve been going slightly mad. I was starting to wonder what my dogs would taste like if I was forced to eat them, would I need condiments or would the natural barbecued taste of my two furry friends be enough to satisfy my appetite? - Yes folks, you might say that I’m looking for things to do to pass the time and I think I may have stumbled on the perfect solution.

Tonight, I was given the opportunity to chat to an amazingly talented woman called Elizabeth McCullough, you may know her better by Alpha Cat, the name that she chose to be recognised by for her musical endeavours.

I literally stumbled across her music on a wonderful site called musosoup.com and thought I’d invite her to take part in an online interview that I set up recently to stop myself from going stir crazy since we had been advised to ‘stay the fuck at home’ by our government.

Elizabeth is a woman of many talents, her skills include professional photography, composer, singer, multi-instrumentalist and performer, there are other feathers in her cap but I’ll leave you to discover these later.

It’s not every day you get invited to chat to the founding member of a band that you literally grew up listening to. I fondly recall the day that a good friend of mine bought a copy of their debut album Snuffsaidbutgorblimeyguvstonemeifhedidn'tthrowawobblerchachachachachachachachachachachayou'regoinghomeinacosmicambience (We’ll call it ‘Snuff Said’ for short…) round to my place one evening, I think we must have played it 10 times on repeat, flipping the record over every 20 minutes or so and re-listening to it over and over again for the entire evening! Happy days….
