I chatted to a guy called Jacob Banks recently and learned that he’s in a band called Mouthbreathre. We exchanged numerous emails and he asked if I’d be up for helping them to push their new EP which is due to land on July 24th, we took a listen and I got straight back to him to let us know that we’d love to be involved. I suggested an interview feature so we could cover as much information as possible and get it out to people who we hope will become fans of their music in due course.

They recently gained some airplay courtesy of Sarah Gosling via her ‘BBC Intro in the South West show’, if it’s good enough to make her ears prick up, we’re there!

The full interview is below, enjoy!

Endless Season bursts onto the UK music scene with this emphatic & rip-roaring debut single ‘Sit Down’ that has more hooks than a fisherman’s tackle box.

Tall Stories return with their third single Nosebleeds, following their incendiary debut Lost In Translation, and their sophomore release Concrete Heads (both released in 2019) and received airplay on BBC Introducing West Midlands.

From Liverpool Sound City to the Great Escape and graduating onto Glastonbury, the rock band, No Party For Cao Dong (NPCD), who made quite a statement last year in UK’s live scene, recently released their latest single “Same Old, Same Old” after teasing us in May via an innovative livestream concept, which featured an interactive gaming aspect where fans could vote for plot turns in the live action show.

Almost thirty years since the release of their seminal debut album, Immigrants, Emigrants and Me, Power of Dreams recently released a double A-side on FIFA Records that encapsulates the different sides of the band’s musical coin and the multi-faceted songwriting of Craig Walker.

‘America’ / ‘Across the Shannon’ is the precursor for Power of Dream’s first studio album in twenty five years, titled Aüslander, and a wonderful re-introduction to one of Ireland’s most enigmatic bands of the nineties.

We caught up with Craig Walker from Power of Dreams to chat about lockdown hobbies, the early 90s music press, being in a band pre-internet and of course, their forthcoming new album Aüslander.

Do you remember what happened at the MTV Unplugged session that OASIS did back in 1996? Liam bailed at the last moment (owing to illness…..ahem) leaving Noel to pick up vocal duties as well as lead guitar whilst Liam stood on the balcony, slugging back beers and taking every opportunity to heckle the band. Noel and the band did well, some might say (see what I did there?) he even saved the day and widened the already noticeable cracks in the relationship between him and his younger sibling. Fast forward 24 years and Liam gets a second bite of the apple, but this time, he went solo (with the assistance of his band of course), read on to see how the show went down….

We have been working hard securing a few headline acts to perform at our very own podcast festival which is going to be taking place on Sunday June 28th and I thought I’d drop the manager of The Amazons a line to see if they’d be up for donating a track. I was amazed when he came back and said that they’d love to be a part of the event and provided me with a specially recorded ‘lockdown’ acoustic version of their track ‘Mother’ to play. He also asked if I’d like to have a chat with one of the band members and find out what they’ve been upto, who am I to miss out on an opportunity like this….

Fast forward a week and we spoke to Joe Emmett (drummer) all about the hobbies and interests that he has picked up since going into lockdown, work on their 3rd album, topping up his tan whilst sitting in his children’s paddling pool and LOADS more, read on to find out more….

In a place like Plainview, where music schools and studios abound, you can feel naturally inclined to try your hand at music. And your instinct may suggest that you should begin with piano, for the obvious reasons such as ease of learning. There is no doubt that this musical instrument is arguably the easiest one to pick; still, there are many other factors that contribute to a successful experience with this. Of them, one is your willingness to learn it. If you have a genuine interest in music and piano, you can imagine yourself doing well. But having an interest in something is not enough until you make efforts to acquire the required skills for the same.

It’s been 3 years since we last caught up with DAISY CLARK, I remember the day as if it were yesterday, she had just come off stage at Boardmasters Festival and we were hunkered down behind a bale of hay to try and shield ourselves from the booming funk emanating from The House of Marley. I don’t remember what we chatted about, probably some of her songs, how she enjoyed playing at Boardmasters, standard festival related questions no doubt!

Fast forward 3 years and Daisy is due to launch her brand new single ‘Battle Scars’ in less than 24 hours, we were lucky enough to get a 15 minute slot with her to chat about the new single, her life in lockdown and a bit of reminiscing about the time BILLIE EILISH showered her with praise following her cover version of ‘Bellyache’, read on to see how we got on….
